The Secrets of Blogging Tag

You know when you already have written post and you just need to take photos, but when you take them and transfer on computer, they end to be a crap? Well, it's that kind of day. For today I had in mind another tag post, but since photos didn't succeed, I'm posting other one, for which I luckily have the most questions already answered (well, let's just say crappy photos didn't increase my inspiration for blogging). Mateja from Mateja's Beauty Blog tagged me to do The secrets of blogging tag and here are my answers.

1. When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging back in 2010, because it seemed like a good hobby. I had a poetry blog before, but my inspiration felt on minimum and I didn't write poems anymore, so I closed that blog and opened a new, personal one on 1. 2. 2010. At the beginning I was publishing random stuff and had a different name (Sanje so večne or Dream are eternal). Soon I discovered beauty blogs and in July I posted my first beauty post. It was a haul post. I officially celebrate blogaversary in Februar, although my first beauty post was posted in July. Later I changed the name of my blog in Taya, because previous name didn't suit the content anymore.

2. How many people in "real life" know about your blog?
From my closest people only my boyfriend. My family doesn't really understand all beauty related stuff and my father doesn't really support my beauty obsession. Not like I care. I love makeup and I'll keep buying and using it, no mather what he says. Then few friends who liked my page on Facebook know, but otherwise I don't like to brag myself with my blog. I am proud on my blog and I love blogging, but I'm kinda too shy to talk about it in "real life".

3. What are your favourite posts to read?
I love nail art posts and posts with makeup looks. These two are my favourites, also because they are very inspirational. I also like all other beauty related posts, like empties, new in, disappointing products etc.

4. List a blog you have discovered recently.
Telling the truth I haven't discover any new blog lately. August was a very hectic month for me and I barely had time to read blogs I follow, what even to discover new blogs.

5. Which posts are you most proud of?
Why do you have to ask a beauty blogger this question? I'm proud on every post on this blog, even the first ones, which are bad. But that only shows how much better my blog became. My blog grew a lot in these four years and I grew with it. From the latest ones I want to expose Nail Polish Shades Every Girl Should Have for Summer. In nail series I'm also proud on How To: Prevent Bubbling post. Posts that have to be mention are previews of a whole year on my blog, because I usually spend the most time ever to write them (Year 2012 on Taya My Little Beauty World Blog, Year 2013 on Taya My Little Beauty World Blog). I'm also very proud on every single nail art and makeup tutorial I did. I won't expose any nail art manicure, because there are many beloved ones, but I will mention few favourite makeup looks: Purple and Silver New Year's Look (+Tutorial), FOTD: Inspired By Winter 2, Frozen Series: Makeup Inspired by Anna.

6. What advice would you give to future bloggers?
First thing first, start blogging from the right reason. That is that you love beauty related stuff and you want to share them with other people. Lately many bloggers open a new blog just because they want to get free stuff. I think that's pointless because people will quickly notice what's your true reason of blogging (that is getting free stuff) and will stop reading your blog. I know I stopped reading some blogs because girls always published only PR stuff (and it was obvious that they ask for them theirselves) and their blog is not as interesting as from many other bloggers, that blog with passion.
Big photos. Please, post big photos. There's nothing more irritating than small photos of swatches and you have to click on every single one to make it bigger.
Writing is one of the most important things by blogging for me. There are many beautiful and easy to read writings, such as Times New Roman, Georgia, Calibri. Please, don't use writings as Comic Sans, etc. because they are so irritating to read. Often it happens that I don't read a blog if it's not written in a "normal" writing. Maybe I read it, if it's short, but if it's long, definitely not.
Be true to yourself in every aspect of blogging. I think that's the most important advice I can give you. Maybe some people won't like the way you write or types of posts you post, but who cares. As long as you're happy with content of your blog and what you do. That's the most important part of blogging - loving it and enjoying in it.
More advices could be written about blogging, but I'll end here. Read Mateja's, Petra's, Sara's and Sanja's post for more advices. I agree with advices they've written in their posts.

I won't tag anyone, but if you like this tag, feel free to do it. Thank you for reading!
