The Prettiest Purple for Fall

$

In the past I was a huge fan of purple nail polishes, but with time they stopped being so interesting to me, except if I really found a gorgeous and special purple shade. When I found Alessandro Purple Passion polish in my bag on Beautiful Bloggers MeetUp, I admit I wasn't really excited, because I wasn't sure if I'm going to like this kind of purple or not. I admit, if I would found this shade in the store I'll probably leave it there. Why am I writing this intro? Because, my dear readers, I cannot believe, how much I fell for this polish. In the past three weeks I wore mostly this shade. Sometimes I used different polish for a day, but then I returned to this little beauty.

Purple Passion is a shade from Glam Rock collection, which is actually a winter collection, but for me this deep purple shade is a perfect fall choice. It contains tiny purple and pink shimmer that makes this polish looking gorgeous on nails. The formula is very nice, not too thick or runny, and the application is a dream. The polish has small, but flat brush, which I like. It's opaque in two coats. I can't really talk about longevity, because it depends from different circumstances - it happened to me that it chipped after one day, but I also wore it for three days without chipping. It's shiny when it dries, but with the application of a top coat it becomes really glossy and even better looking. I used this polish as a base for my Halloween manicure, because I already had it on and I didn't want to remove it. Also, the removal of this nail polish is also easy, and it doesn't stain nails or cuticles.

You can get Alessandro products in online storee-kozmetika.si. I know Nama in Ljubljana and some Müller sell this brand as well, although unfortunately not our Müller in Murska Sobota anymore (I remember Alessandro was available here few years ago.). The polish contains 5 ml and it costs 5,50 €
Although I don't think Alessandro nail polishes are the cheapest, I always liked their minis. They usually have amazing formula, and in limited edition collections they can surprise with gorgeous and unique shades (anyone still remembers Belle Mademoiselle or Lucious Brocade?). When I was still studying in Ljubljana I was buying these all the time, but shopping on internet isn't as appealing to me as it was shopping in person in drugstore. And I have to say I was quite surprised that I liked this shade so much, because I really didn't expect that.

Another thing I wanted to mention here is that I bought Alessandro advent calendar. I haven't open it yet, because I will open each window on a certain day in December, and I'll show you what's inside on Instagram and Facebook, so definitely follow me there. But I'm mention this, because I wanted to let you know that this calendar will be soon for sale on e-kozmetika.si, so stay tuned if you want to get it. The price is around 50 €, but for nail polish addicts is totally worth it, because you get few polishes and a lot of products for nail care.

So, what do you think about Purple Passion polish? Will you buy Alessandro calendar? Thank you for reading!
*I received this product on BBMU (Beautiful Bloggers MeetUp).

Kolekcija ARTISTRY HYDRA-V™ deluje v zaščitem sloju kože in mu z uporabo lastnega HYDRA kompleksa, ki vključuje redke in dragocene sestavine, pomaga zadržati vodo. Za sestavine velja, da:
  • Osvežujejo:Čista voda iz norveških fjordov omogoča hidratacijo globoko v površju kožnih celic.
  • Obnavljajo: Minerali himalajske rdeče kamene soli, bogate s hranili, obnavljajo kožo in pomagajo izboljšati prenos, shranjevanje in zadrževanje vode.

Enostaven režim in neverjetni rezultati

Kolekcijo ARTISTRY HYDRA-V™ sestavlja sedem izdelkov z namenom osvežitve, obnove in poživitve kože.

Born Pretty Stamper

A quality plate is not the only important thing by stamping, because having a good stamper can make your stamping process much easier. Born Pretty Store is constantly coming out with new stampers, and when they released a big stamper with huge stamping surface, I was immediately interested in. Stamper comes in a package with cute scraper that has pretty flower design on, and with a nail file. The file is not really useful to me, because it's too rough for me, but the scraper does its job perfectly.

Born Pretty Store stamper is a two sided stamper with surfaces big 2,8 and 3,2 cm (for comparison, Konad's surface is big 2,3 cm). When I first tried this stamper I wasn't really impressed, because the design didn't transfer nicely, but then I went on their site where it says that you have to file the surface before the usage. It had some kind of protecting glue or something on, which it went off after I filed the surface. Then the surface became sticky and now nail polish sticks better on it. After I stamp the design on my nails, I remove what's left on it with nail polish remover and it's good to go (aka ready to be used again).

The stamper is really huge, I don't think I ever saw such a big stamper. People have different sizes of nails, so some don't get a whole design on nails with some stampers, but with this one you definitely can't go wrong. This stamper has very soft silicone, so at the beginning I had to get used to it, because I was pressing really hard on my nails, because I was afraid that the design won't transfer, but that sometimes meant that I smudged the designs, so if I press it a bit more gently on the nail it works as well. What more can I say about it than that this is a great stamper that transfers designs really nicely and it will cover up a whole nail, no matter how small or big the nail bed is. I personally am really satisfied with it. Many stamping manicures I did for 31 day nail art challenge, were made with it.

This stamper is available on Born Pretty Store for 5,70 € ($6,25), but currently you can get it for 3,99 € ($4,38). Don't forget to use my codeDFL91 for 10 % discount.

Have you tried Born Pretty Store stampers? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

Top 10 Affordable Brushes

Yesterday when I was staring at a whole pile of brushes that needed to be washed, I got the idea that I could talk about brushes today. Most of the brushes I own are available by us, either in drugstores or online. At the beginning I thought I could talk about my top 5 drugstore brushes, but then the number started increasing with new and new brushes I needed to mention, so in the end I decided to pick up 10 brushes that make my makeup routine easier. So today I want to show you my top 10 affordable (mostly drugstore) brushes without which my makeup wouldn’t look as it does.

EcoTools blush brush
EcoTools blush brush is definitely in my top five favourite brushes. I own quite few blush brushes, but I love none like this one. It’s dense, but so soft and it blends out perfectly every single blush. Its form is interesting – bristles on the side are shorter than in the middle, but maybe that’s her secret of a perfect brush that makes me love it so much. I have it for quite some time now, maybe even for two year, but it still looks like new. It didn’t lose the shape although it was washes countless times, and since the first washing it didn’t lose any bristle. It’s definitely the best blush brush and I would recommend it to anyone. In the past EcoTools was available at drugstore Tuš, but by us in Beltinci I haven’t notice this brand for a while now. It’s also available in Špar, while online you can get it on Ličila.si (Slovenia) or on iHerb(international). I paid around 8 € for it.

Body&soul blush brush
Body&Soul is a Müller’s brand with few elementary brushes for a low price. I think that for someone who’s just starting with makeup and has limited budget, these are a good option. The reason I love their blush brush is not in its primary purpose, that is applying a blush, but because this is the best brush for contouring I had. It’s small, so it covers the hollows of my cheeks perfectly, it’s dense, soft and it blends the bronzer perfectly and nicely without harsh lines to be visible. The price is around 3 €, so it’s really affordable. I actually have two of these brushes, because I also find it great for applying highlighter on the top of the cheeks.

Body&soul concealer brush
Usually cheaper flat concealer brushes can be itchy, but not Body&Soul’s brush. It’s soft and the application of concealer is a piece of cake with it. Maybe the only thing it doesn’t do well is blending the concealer into the skin, because it takes a bit longer to blend it nicely, but for that purpose I usually use Zoeva’s concealer brush. I mostly use this one to apply concealer under my eyebrows after I finish filling them in to achieve cleaner look. I don’t remember the exact price of this brush, but it’s very inexpensive. When these are getting older they start to loose on a shape, which is not surprisingly, judging by low price.

Zoeva 102 Silk Finish
I raved about this brush a lot before. I normally wouldn’t put Zoeva brushes among drugstore brushes, because they have a bit higher price as others I'm mentioning, but since they are available online by us and their quality is amazing, I had to mention them again. Silk Finish brush is the best brush for applying foundation, because it blends the foundation perfectly into the skin without brush strokes being noticeable. Its price is around 16 € and you can get Zoeva on Mojadrogerija.

Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer
I’m using Zoeva concealer brush under my eyes for applying and blending concealer, and sometimes to apply concealer on my blemishes if I have any. Its dense round shape enables very nice and easy blending. I definitely need more of these. I also wanted to mention that sometimes denser brushes are harder to wash, because after few usages they soak in a lot of product, but that’s not the problem with Zoeva, because excess product goes easy out of both brushes. The concealer brush costs around 12 € on Moja drogerija.

Real Technique Setting Brush
Despite being so popular I think Real Technique brushes don’t reach the quality of Zoeva brushes. But they do have nice brushes and setting brush is my favourite. I love it because of its small size, which enables me to apply the powder on my whole under eye area to set my concealer. With bigger brushes that’s not possible. It really picks up the powder nicely and applies it evenly. Beside that is also appropriate for applying highlighter on the top of the cheeks, but I mainly use it to apply powder under my eyes. It’s available on Ličila.si, Mojadrogerija and Destination Pretty for around 11 €.

EcoTools eyeliner brush
I think this was one of my first EcoTools brushes. I have it for years now and it’s still great as at the beginning. It’s angled brush with nice bristles that are soft, but dense enough to apply eyeshadow perfectly. I mostly use it for filling my eyebrows, because it’s the only angled brush that enables me to do my eyebrows as I want. I got it in Spar, but I don’t remember the exact price anymore. It was around 4 € or even less.

Ebelin blending brush
I get compliments for my eye makeup looks so many times, especially for my blending skills (your words, not mine). Do I use expensive brushes to achieve that? Not at all. My main helper is Ebelin blending brush that costs around 2 €. Although this brush isn’t available in Slovenia (but you can get it in DM in Austria), I had to include it, because there is no possibility I’d do my makeup without this brush. It’s soft, fluffy and it blends eyeshadow like it’s nobody’s business. I often wonder why DM doesn’t bring a whole Ebelin collection in Slovenia, not just selected pieces. We need this brush here.

UBU blending brush
This is another brush that’s in my collection for ages. It’s actually quite a big brush for eyeshadow application on lids, but I got so use to it that I use it for different purposes. Its bristles are quite soft, and in the middle longer as on both sides. I use it to apply neutral eyeshadow all over my lid to set the eyeshadow base, to apply eyeshadow in crease, to blend two different eyeshadows together, sometimes to apply highlighting shade under my eyebrows ... It’s really multipurpose brush and I got it in Tuš drugstore for around 3 €, I think.

Elite eyeshadow brush
This is my favourite brush for applying eyeshadow on lids. It’s smaller flat brush with longer dense bristles that enable easy and precise application. It can reach the inner part of the lid nicely as well and the application under the eyes isn’t a problem with it. I got it in DM for around 4 or 5 €.

Excuse my green looking Ebelin brush, but ever since I did Poison Ivy look I can't wash the green out of it. But with every wash it looks better, less green, so few more washes and I hope it'll look like new. :)

NOTD: Owl Nail Art

Ever since I got Essence polishes from Merry Berry collection I wanted to do a nail art with them, but since it's kind of too soon for Christmas manicures I went with something inspired by fall. It's nothing new, I already made owl nail art before, but I kind of felt like I want to recreate my old manicure from two years ago. I also have a tutorial for it, so if you haven't saw it yet check out this post.
The thing is, my "blogging brains" are completely in Christmas spirit already, planning many blogposts for December, because I'm considering doing Blogmas again this year, although I'm not sure I'll manage to blog every day, and in this inspirational mood my brains don't register fall and fall inspired posts anymore. I did planned few fall posts and maybe I will do them, but I won't promise anything.

I started with Essence Wild White Ways on middle and ring finger and Essence Pink&Perfect on other nails. Then I used Essence Pink&Perfect to draw owl, Essence The Masket Ball for semicircle, Essence Wild White Ways and Essence Black is Back for eyes and Oriflame Sundance for beak and dots. On other nails I made dots with Essence Purple with Purpose. Nothing too complicated, but it looks very lovely.

Essence Merry Berry TE Collection

$

Essence Merry Berry collection was definitely one of the most expected Essence collections of this year. I personally have special bond to Essence Christmas collections, because I always get something from them, even if other collections during the year don’t convince me. This year they draw my attention with lipsticks. Purple lips are lately an obsession of mine and I had to try these from Essence TE. This collection hit Müller stores right when I had the busiest week and I would totally miss it, if Petra from Adjusting Beauty wouldn’t get it for me, so I want to thank to her for picking up all products I wanted for me, she is definitely one of the kindest and nicest persons I know.

Essence Merry Berry Highlighter 01 I Love My Golden Pumps
Ever since Essence released Metallic Glam Gold Digger highlighter, bloggers were eager to see new golden highlighter in one of their TE’s, and finally they released something similar. The packaging is nothing special; it’s a typical Essence powder/highlighter plastic transparent packaging that contains 9 g of product. The design of the highlighter are 3D starts in different sizes, which are on one side very simple, but on the other so cute and they remind me more on the night than Christmas, but yeah, I like them a lot. The texture of highlighter is very soft and silky, and the colour payoffis amazing. If I compare it to Gold Digger is not as brownish golden shade, because it’s much brighter. It’s actually more of a champagne golden shade. The golden shimmer in it gives a gorgeous glow to the cheeks and on me it lasted for a whole day with minimal fading away. It can be also used as highlighter under eyebrows or in inner corner of the eye. The price is 3,59 €.

Essence Merry Berry Nail Polishes
Essence rarely surprises with interesting nail polish shape and I’m really glad that this time they released something different. Five nail polishes from this collection have a round bottle with a round golden cap that makes them look so pretty (Catrice already had similar shape, just that the cap was smaller). The cap itself is very easy to hold and it doesn’t make the application harder. Polishes have round brush which isn’t my favourite, but the application of a polish is easy with it, probably also because of a formula that’s not too runny or too thick. All three shades I own (Purple with Purpose, The Masked Ball, Pink&Perfect) have nice, pigmented formula. Each polish contains 8 ml and it costs 1,49 €

01 The Masked Ball is a deep purple creamy shade that looks almost black under the certain light. I used two coats for the swatch.

02 Purple with Purpose is a violet shade with pink shimmer. Although I think this is a pretty shade, it’s not one of those shades that would steal my heart immediately. I used two coats for the swatches.

03 Pink&Perfectis a fuchsia shade with creamy formula and it’s a match for Pink&Perfect lipstick, although they don’t look the same once applied on nails and lips. I have a feeling that beside golden top coat this is one of the most popular shades from Christmas collection. I used two coats for the swatches.

Essence Merry Berry Lipsticks
This year I’m in a purple lipstick mood, so I had to get two lipsticks from Essence Merry Berry collection. I decided for Let’s the Berry-tales Begin and Pink&Perfect. I didn’t want the third one (Red Rocks), because it looked too red on promo photos, although if you’ll check Mateja’sswatches you’ll see that this is a nice magenta shade. The packaging is a typical Essence lipstick packaging, and each is in the shade of the lipstick. One lipstick contains 3,8 g and the price is 2,49 €.

01 Let’s the Berry-tales Begin is a nice deep purple shade, while 02 Pink&Perfect is a beautiful fuchsia shade. Both have amazing lightweight creamy formulathat doesn’t dry the lips. Since both are bolder shades, a bit of carefulness is needed by application, but it’s not problematic. What I noticed by Let’s the Berry-tales Begin is that despite its nice creamy formula it can emphasize the dry parts of the lips. I was a bit surprised, because that doesn’t happen with Pink&Perfect. The colour payoff is okay, although it’s not as amazing as by other Essence lipsticks from trend edition collections, because I have to layer them to achieve higher intensity, especially if I start applying them with a lipstick brush. They look shiny on lips, which is a bit disappointing to me, because I admit, I wanted them to be matte or semi-matte, as is usual for Essence. On my lips they don’t last really long, but I noticed that both stain the lips. The stain is even, but it also disappears quite fast.

I compared them with a bunch of lipsticks from my collection, for which I assumed that they look similar, but I didn’t find any dupe, which is great. All purple lipsticks I own have more red or more pink undertone in them as Let’s the Berry-tales begin, and the same goes for fuchsia shades I compared with Pink&Perfect.

Essence Merry Berry Hair Fragrance
The last thing I got is hair fragrance. I wanted it, because it contains golden glitter, which is visible in the bottle and it was visible on my skin when I swatched it as well, but unfortunately it’s not visible on hair. The scent itself is amazing. It’s a strong sweet scent that’s just up my alley. I would describe it to you if I wouldn’t suck at describing scents. On the packaging is says that it matches the scent of Essence eau de toilette like The Party of My Life.
It’s supposed to be used on dry hair to give them a gorgeous scent and a caring effect, but the latest doesn’t really appeal to it. It actually reminds me a lot on hair spray, because it feels a bit sticky while it’s drying, but it’s less heavy and it doesn’t hold the hair on place. Once it dries you actually don’t feel it on hair anymore, but the scent stays for quite some time. 100 ml cost 3,79 €

FOTD: The Three Wine Fairies (Collaboration with Adjusting Beauty and Chunky Cheeks)

Hi, ladies. Today I have a very exciting post for you. It's a collaboration makeup looks with two amazing and talented ladies Petra from Adjusting Beauty and Vesna from Chunky Cheeks. Today is Martinovo (St. Martin's Day) in Slovenia, which is a holiday when the grape juice is turning into a wine, and I thought we ladies could do a makeup on this theme. To me this was definitely one of most interesting collaborations, because it's interesting to see how much our makeup ideas can be different, although the theme is the same. Both ladies did an amazing job and you have to quickly click on their blogs and follow them, because you will love their creativity as I already do.

My inspiration were red and white wine, so I was using plumy and golden shades. In my head this look looked a bit different, but during the process I couldn't figure it out what is still missing (I was thinking about red or purple glitter, which I didn't had). Well today I was trying to create something different on the same theme, and I discovered that what I could add to this look is some golden glitter on both sides of my temples and cheeks. I think golden glitter would make the look more interesting, but instead I added a red necklace on my head to spice up the look. I think I followed this year's trend and we can say that my look is a perfect marsala look, don't you agree? :)

I started with priming my eyelids with eyeshadow base and then I applied matte brown eyeshadow in crease. All over the lid I applied shimmery brown creamy eyeliner as a base for my eyeshadow. On inner and outer third of the lid I applied red eyeshadow, while in the middle I used golden shimmery shade, and they I blended harsh lines between both eyeshadows. In crease I applied bright plumy shade and I made a flick in outer part of my eye. Then I took a blending brush and I blended harsh line on brow bone. Under my eye I used the same eyeshadows as on upper lid in the same way as before - on inner third and outer third of lower lash line I applied red eyeshadow and in the middle golden one. Then I took darker purple shade and applied it in crease over plumy shade to deepen the look. In inner corner of my eye and under my eyebrow I used champagne shimmery shade to highlight both areas. Then I applied eyeliner and black pencil on waterline. I added few golden dots above my inner corner and under the eyeshadow on lower lash line. In the end I just applied mascara and false lashes and the look was done.

For contouring I used Sleek plumy shimmery blush in the shade Pomegranate. I contoured hollows of my cheeks and my temples. In the middle of my forehead I applied golden metallic highlighter to give the look more glow. On cheeks I didn't use any blush, but I applied golden highlighter on them. For the lips I used purple lipstick (Essence Let's the Berry-tales Begin) and in the middle I applied golden shimmery eyeshadow, so that the lips were a perfect match for eyes.

FOTD: Fall Fairy

$

If this look reminds you on my previous one that I did for a collaboration with Adjusting Beauty and Chunky Cheeks, you're right. It was a second version I tried for that collaboration, I was mainly using the same products, but it came out much more fall alike, and even my boyfriend said that it looks more like Fall Fairy. But I couldn't not to show you this makeup look, because I really like how it turned out.

I started with filling my eyebrows with red eyeshadow. Then I took golden eyeshadow and I applied it on inner half of the lid and on other half I applied plumy eyeshadow. In crease I applied darker purple shade and blended it on brow bone. Above the inner corner I applied red eyeshadow with a pointer brush, so that the shade looked more intensive. The same red eyeshadow I used on my lower lash line. In inner corner I also used golden eyeshadow, while I used matte white shade as a highlighter under my eyebrow. Then I applied eyeliner on upper lid, black pencil on waterline and golden eyeliner under the flick of my eyeliner. Then I took some golden studs and I glued one in inner corner and three on outer part under lower lash line. For the end I applied mascara and false lashes.

I contoured hollows of my cheeks, temples and the top of my forehead with Sleek Pomegranate, which is a plumy shimmery blush. In the middle of my forehead and on my cheeks I applied Essence Metal Glam Gold Digger highlighter, which is a golden metallic highlighter and which gave my look that gorgeous glow. I also used it on my nose. On both sides of my temples I first draw few dots with golden creamy eyeshadow and then I glued three leaf studs on each side. For the lips I used purple lipstick and in the middle I applied golden eyeshadow. In my hair I pinned few leaves and the look was done.

My Holy Grail Volume Mascara(s)

It’s one of those weeks when I’m trying to put the words together, but I just can’t finish the post. Luckily I have prepared few reviews in advance and I hope this will help me to get back on track, because my blogging notebook is full of blog post ideas for few months. Today I’ll talk about the mascara that stole my heart immediately I tried it and that soon became my holy grail mascara. I’m talking about Essence Lash Princess mascara. It’s one of the most volumizing mascaras I’ve tried, and not just that, it’s also so cheap that you won’t regret throwing it away every three months and buying a new one.

There are two versions of Lash Princess mascaras – the peachy Volume mascara that was released first and green False Lash Effect mascara. As soon as green one came out I had to get it to compare it with peachy one. Many bloggers have compared both mascaras and you wouldn’t believe how different these work for different bloggers, so I decided to compare them on my blog as well to tell you how both work for me.

Both mascaras have cute black packaging with different coloured writing and both contain 12 ml. Peachy mascara has a very interesting curved wand, which is quite big. At the beginning I had big problems with application because I wasn’t use to it, but later I got use to it and now it became one of my favourite brushes. On the other hand green mascara has a long plastic wand with shorter bristles. It’s very easy to maintain and with it you can reach all eyelashes, even those little ones in inner corner.

The formula of both mascaras is very similar or I could even say the same. Both are true black mascaras and at the beginning they are quite wet and the access of the mascara must be wiped off, otherwise they can stick your lashes together and give you a clumpy look (quick tip: use a dry wand of an old mascara or a brow brush and brush through lashes to separate them and get rid of the access mascara). After some time both mascaras get drier. Both mascaras give a huge volume to the lashes and they also make them longer. What they don’t do that well is holding a curl. If you’re going to curl your lashes with curler before applying these it won’t really work, because lashes will drop quite fast, probably because of their wetter and heavier formula. They don’t cause panda eyes, but they crumble a bit, so few black dots end on the cheeks (I noticed that green one crumbles a bit more than peachy one). Although these are not waterproof, they’re not the easiest mascaras to remove, but two-phased removers make wonders. If you don’t have any, micellar solution will work as well, but it’ll take a bit more time to completely remove them.

I applied Volume mascara (peachy one) on my right eye and False Lashes Effect mascara (green one) on my left eye. When I compare them side by side I don’t see any difference between them. They are both great volume mascaras and none holds lashes curled very well.

Although lately I’m more often using waterproof mascaras than any others Essence Lash Princess mascara (it doesn’t matter which version) is still my holy grail volume mascara. It gives an amazing volume to my lashes, it prolongs them and it’s also very cheap (3,59 €). I would recommend it to anyone who’s searching good but not expensive volume mascara, but if you want something that will hold your lashes curled, this mascara isn’t for you.

Have you tried Essence Lash Princess mascaras? Do you find them the same as well? Which is your favourite volume mascara? If you like this post you can share it with your readers and followers on social media. Thank you for reading!

5 Favourite Makeup Instagram Accounts

I don't remember if I ever mentioned this before on my blog, but I get a lot of inspiration for makeup on Instagram. I follow a lot of accounts of ladies that post creative makeup looks and all of them are true artists. I could probably talk about more than only five favourite Instagram accounts, because I follow so many, but in the end of the day there are few people I just adore and check regularly to see what they have posted. So five of these Instagram accounts I'm going to mention are a true inspiration of mine and these ladies never stop to impress me with their imagination (or better said four ladies, because one is an account that features different talented makeup artists).

Linda Hallbergs
Linda is my girl crush and my biggest inspiration. I don't remember anymore how I discovered her, but her Instagram account was one of the first makeup accounts I started to follow. No matter what she puts on herself it looks perfect, and also every single one of her makeup looks is perfection. She also has a Youtube channel, where she posts makeup tutorials (in the past she was doing videos in Swedish, but now she started to do English videos). I have to admit I love every single look she creates, simple or creative, but one of my favourites is the one where she wore purple eyeshadow with red eyeliner and eyelashes (click).

Makeupmouse
I started to follow Heather recently, but her imagination and sense for art blew me away immediately. I actually found her work on Facebook, I think one of my friends liked her photo, and I searched for her Instagram immediately, so I could track her work easier. Her snow lady look convinced me to follow her, because it proves how creative and original her work is.

Stjima
Sandra is another Swedish blogger with amazing makeup skills. She is not a makeup artist, but her makeup looks are so creative and professionally made that you would never guessed that. In the past she was posting new makeup looks almost every single day, so you have to imagine how much inspiration and imagination she had. Although she took a break from blogging, I still like to check her Instagram account, which is full of ideas for makeup looks.

Undiscovered Muas
This is not an account of a certain person, but an account that features different makeup artist and makeup enthusiasts. Through it one can find truly talented people to follow and the account itself it's also very inspirational.

Ilonarah
The last account I'm going to mention belongs to Serbian blogger Ilona. For her I have the same impression as for Linda - everything she puts on herself looks perfect on her, and her makeup skills are also perfection. I found her blog through Facebook and since then I'm always looking forward to see what she will create next. One of my favourite looks she did is a teal look created with Sleek Ultra Matte V2 palette (click).

Do you follow any of the ladies (accounts) I mentioned in this post? Which makeup accounts that you adore would you recommend me to follow on Instagram? If you like this post you can share it with your readers and followers on social media. Thank you for reading!

DIY: Sweet Advent Calendar

$

It is one week till December and I’m in the festive mood since the beginning of November already. Last year Nika from Beautyfullblog gave the idea for DIY beauty advent calendar, but since my friends and family aren’t as crazy for cosmetics as I am, I have no one to do it for, so instead I decided to do a DIY advent calendar with sweets for my boyfriend. He’s such a sweet tooth and I knew it’ll be something that will make him happy. I know, I know, some of you will say that there are many chocolate advent calendars available by us (especially in Müller), but it’s the intention that matters and I bet you’ll make someone very happy with your DIY project. Plus, DIY projects are really fun to do and if you’re a creative person you’re really going to enjoy in this one.

What you’ll need:
  • cardboard
  • white (or colourful) paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • 24 cups
  • wrapping paper
  • golden spray
  • marker pens
  • pencil
  • tape
  • sweets/cosmetics

First I took a cup and white papers, on which I draw 24 circles, one for each day. I cut them out and then I wrote numbers from 1 to 24 with different coloured markers. Then I placed them on old newspaper and sprayed them with golden spay. I left them for about a half an hour, so that the spray dried. I could also use different coloured papers instead of a white to make advent calendar more fun and colourful, but I had a feeling that would be too bright for my darling so I made something simpler.

I placed all cups on a cardboard to measure how big my cardboard should be. I decided to place my cups in a shape of a Christmas tree, but they could also be placed in a square or any other shape/design. Then I cut the access of a cardboard off. I didn’t cut the cardboard in a shape of a tree, but I left it square, because it’s easier to carry around that way. Then I wrapped the cardboard with a wrapping paper. I bought a blue wrapping paper with Christmas tree design on it, because blue is a colour I knew my boyfriend is going to like. In each cup I placed sweets and when circle papers were dry I glued them on the top of the cup (they can be opened as a window of taken down). Then I glued each cup on a cardboard (I was using a hot glue gun, because that glue really holds things better on place).  When I finished, I took a wrapping paper and wrapped it all over the cups, because they were transparent and I didn’t want for my boyfriend to see what I prepared for him for each day. I kind of have a feeling that he will open all windows at once, because he already wanted to open it, but I said no, you have to wait till December. And that was it. It took me around two hours, maybe a bit longer, to do this calendar, but I had much fun during the process.

If you will Google DIY advent calendar or search for it on Pinterest, you’ll get many hits, because there are plenty ideas and you can use anything, from papers, cardboards, muffin pan, paper rolls ... A beauty or a chocolate advent calendar, made for people you love is a nice gesture and I think everyone will love it.

Do you like creating DIY gifts for family and friends? Which advent calendar will you be opening this year? If you like this post you can share it with your readers and followers on social media. Thank you for reading!

Click2Chic Chic Box Black Edition

Tangle Teezer Original Orange/Yellow
Cena: 15,49 €

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm 240 Spectaculaire
Cena: 10,89 €

Physicians Formula Super BB Berry Pink
Cena: 8,91 €

Cece Of Sweden Argan balzam za lase

NOTD: Essence Winter? Wonderlful! A Winter'sTale

Essence's new winter collection is called Winter? Wonderful! and it's already available at Müller. Although blush and highlighter looked amazing because of the gorgeous design I decided to skip them, because I must not buy another blush or highlighter just because of the beautiful design. But the product that I couldn't skip and leave in the store was top coat 01 A Winter's Tale.

01 A Winter's Tale is a glittery top coat with orange shimmer and small and big hexagonal glitter that changes from orange and yellow to green. It's one of those glittery polishes that applies like a dream. With one coat shimmer nicely covers a whole nail and the glitter also sticks nicely on it. As a base I used black cream shade Essence Back to Black, because by my opinion this top coat looks the best over darker shades. I also tried it over brighter shades (neon yellow, to be exact) and the glitter and shimmer were barely visible. So if you want this polish to shine in all of its beauty, use dark nail polishes underneath. Because this is a glittery top coat the removal wasn't as easy as by other finishes, but then again it went off easier as many other glittery polishes. I usually use foil technique to remove glittery polishes, but here I just rubbed a bit harder and the glitter went off without being stuck on my nails (and no, I didn't damage my nails with rubbing).
The top coat comes in a standard Essence round bottle that has the cutest cap with snowflakes. The only thing they should change is the colour of the writing on the bottle, because the silver writing is very hard to read. White would be better, if they wanted to keep the spirit of the winter. The bottle contains 8 ml and the price is 2,19 €.

What do you think about this top coat? Did you get anything from Winter? Wonderful! TE? I would appreciate every share of this post on social media. Thank you for reading!

Odpiraj Alessandro adventni koledar z mano!/Open Alessandro Advent Calendar with Me (Blogmas 2015)

I'm so excited that this year I can open Alessandro calendar. Last year it wasn't on sale, only few girl got it, but it was so amazing that I hoped that this year it will be for sale. And my wish came true. I got it from e-kozmetika.si. I like this calendar so much, because there aren't only nail polishes, but also products for nail and hand care, which is more amazing. I won't say more, because in this post we will open a new window every day to see what's inside.

1. okence: Alessandro lak Dark Rubin
Day 1: Alessandro Dark Rubin

Dark Rubin is a dark plumy shimmery shade. It has very nice formula, not to runny or thick, and it's opaque in two coats.

Blogmas 2015: Skok v zimo s pomarančnimi izdelki (Rawr in Eau Aimable)

In prav to kombinacijo ponuja nova presna čokolada Rawr.

Še nekaj besed o kozmetiki - Le Couvent des Minimes

FOTD: Silver and Red (Blogmas 2015)

The two colour combinations most people think of when it comes to Christmas are golden-red and blue-silver. I’m also one of those people that often uses these two colour combinations, but the other day I was thinking why not to combine silver with red. It’s also very pretty combination. I wanted to do an unwearable look and the only thing I had in mind was to use red eyeshadow in crease and silver foil on my lids.

I started with applying red eyeshadow in crease and blending it on my brow bone. All over the lid I used silver eyeshadow, over which I later applied silver foil, which I glued on my lids with eyelash glue. I applied silver eyeshadow in my inner corner as well. Under my lids I combined brown, golden and orange eyeshadow. Then I took Sleek’s golden glittery eyeliner and applied it in crease, following the red eyeshadow, and connected it with lower lash line. For the end I applied black kajal pencil on waterline, eyeliner and false lashes to complete the look. On my eyebrows I applied silver glittery eyeliner, for which I'm not completely sure if it was a good or bad idea.

On my lips I first used red lipstick (Oriflame Rouge Attraction) on its own, but later I added silver foil. I tried to do similar design as on my nails, for which I used Oriflame red nail polish Passionare Red. The silver foil I was using is from Tedi.

I contoured the hollows of my cheeks and my temples with red matte eyeshadow, while I applied silver eyeshadow on the top of my cheeks. Then I randomly applied red studs and silver foil on my temples and cheeks on both sides of my face.

Christmas Minions Nails (Blogmas 2015)

I think this is my fourth Minion manicure. Can you tell how much I love Minions? Today was such a busy day, having errands in the morning, then preparing material for Blogmas and doing some other stuff at home, that in the evening I was so tired of everything that I wasn’t happy with anything I wanted to post today. At 9 p. m. I though why wouldn’t I prepare a Christmas nail art for today. The other day I found Christmas Minions and I knew I have to do this design. That much I love Minions. I know what some of you might say – she’s doing her nails that late? Well, nail art is a way of relaxation for me and I’m often doing it before bed time (thank God for lightbox). Plus, you’ll have something fun and interesting to watch on my blog today. I have no idea whose idea are Christmas Minions originally, but I found them on Nail Deesignz’s blogand I decided to recreate hers.

They are actually very similar to original Minions, with the exception that they are wearing Christmas hats and that their clothes are red. The polishes I used are Essence Styled for Red Carpet, Essence Love is in the Air, Essence Black is Back, Essence Wild White Ways and silver Depend.

Hydrated Skin with Artistry (Blogmas 2014)

Artistry is a brand that offers makeup and skin care products. This is not the first time I have try Artistry. I’ve tried their Exact Fit powder before and was highly impressed. Recently they released a new skin care collection HYDRA-V with products for all skin types. I got a chance to test Fresh Foaming Cleanser and Replenishing Moisture Creamfor dry and normal skin. Since Artistry is quite expensive brand I had high hopes for these two products and I wasn’t disappointed.

Fresh Foaming Cleanser
The cleanser comes in a blue metallic tube, which is so pretty, and it’s appropriate for all skin types. It’s actually a clear thick gel that changes into a white foam once I put it on my face and wet it. The feeling of it on my face is very pleasant and it feels refreshing, while it cleans my skin very nicely, and even if I don’t remove my makeup with micellar water completely, this cleanser removes everything what’s left. What I like the most about it is the fact that it doesn’t dry my skin and it’s very gentle. I actually have a feeling that it has slightly moisturizing effect and after I wash it off, my skin is so soft and smooth. This is probably the best cleansing product I’ve tried, although the price isn’t the nicest, because this gel costs 23,42 € (150 ml). For a product that I use up in three or four months, this isn’t the friendliest price, but it’s definitely a product that I would get to spoil myself. For ingredients click here.

Replenishing Moisture Cream
The first thing that surprised and blew me away by this cream is the packaging. I know high end brands mostly have nice, fancy packaging, but this cream has the prettiest packaging ever. It’s metallic blue like by cleanser (I love blue!), it has inclined lid with the name of the brand on and inside the cream isn’t protected with foil as is usual, but withwhite plastic covering that you take off when you use cream and after the usage put back on. This is definitely the best thing I ever saw by cream packaging. The cream itself has a white light, but rich formula that sinks into the skin quite fast and it leaves a gentle shiny effect on it. I didn’t find information if this is a day cream or its meant to be used as a part of a daily and as well a night routine, but I think it’s meant for the second usage (it actually should provide hydration for 24h, but I think most of us clean the face twice a day). I was mostly using it as a day cream and it provided me hydration for a whole day. My skin didn’t feel tight and it looked so healthy. It also worked amazing as a makeup base. The price for 50 ml is 45,52 €. For me this is a great cream to use it now in winter on my dry skin, because it really provides high level of moisture, but the price is just, uf, high. For ingredients click here.

I would definitely recommend both products to people with dry skin, you’re going to love them (in case that the price isn’t a problem). Cleanser really cleans the skin nicely and it’s gentle to the skin, while face cream provides moisture to the skin for a whole day and it also works well under the makeup. Artistry product are available on www.amway.si.

Govorim o Photoready Kajal svinčniku v odtenku Matte Expresso in Ultra HD šminki v odtenku Iris.

Photoready Kajal svinčnik Matte Expresso
Izbiro odtenka sem prepustila Revlonovi ekipi in s tole rjavo so super zadeli, saj imam že veliko črnih odtenkov.

Ja, še ena stvar, ki me ni navdušila.
