FOTD: In the Mood for Purple

I know my post titles are usually lame, but this title describes the best how I felt yesterday when I took eyeshadow brush in my hand. I was eager to wear purple on my eyes and the final result was this cocktail of different purple eyeshadows.

I started with a base, of course. I used new Catrice Prime&Fine eyeshadow base, which is so much better that the old one. First I applied purple eyeshadow from S-he Quattro palette 245 in crease and blended it out on brow bone. Then I used Miyo 39 in crease. On outer two thirds of my lid I applied Ink from Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 palette and in inner one third Flesh, over which I applied Misslyn Next Generation. The same eyeshadow I used in inner corner as well. For lower lash line I mixed Miyo 39 and Ink from Sleek palette. For the end I applied dark purple eyeshadow Mystic Lilac from Essence Wild Craft TE in outer V. Then I was satisfied enough to use eyeliner (Essence Liquid Ink High Shine), mascara (Essence Lash Princess) and false lashes (Born Pretty Store). To highlight the surface under my brow I used MeMeMe Arch Angel highlighting cream, which I really like, and on waterline I applied Essence highlighting pencil.
Because focus was on eyes, I lightly applied MeMeMe blush Rouge on cheeks and on lips I used nude lipstick from MeMeMe, called Cherub Blush.

Products I used:

It's time for another empty post. Because I have a whole bunch of products I used up to show you I will skip intro and just start talking about products.

Balea San Francisco hand lotion
I’m a big fan of Balea’s hand lotions. They are light, sink into the skin fast and moisturize it. This one smelled like peaches.
Repurchase: Yes, but a different scent.

Essence Cookies&Cream hand cream
I adore Essence creams. They aren’t greasy, they sink into the skin fast and moisturize it. This one was even better because it smelled like cookies and everything that smells like sweets stoles my heart.
Repurchase: I would, but it was LE
.
Vitaskin hand and nail cream
This one was bought by my mother and she used most of it, but in winter I had problems with dry hands and I took it from her. :P This is very thick cream and it takes time before it sinks into the skin, but it’s perfect for moisturizing and nourishing the dry skin and the feeling of moisten hands stays for a long time.
Repurchase: Maybe, in winter.

Maybelline nail polish remover
It was an okay nail polish remover, it removed nail polish fast and it didn’t dry my skin.
Repurchase: Not sure.

Lee Stafford My Big Fat Healthy Hair conditioner
I had periods when I liked this conditioner and periods when I completely hated it. It wasn’t as thick as some other conditioners I tried (Dove ...) and I think it didn’t nourish my ends enough, plus why would you do a conditioner for volume, if you can’t put it on your scalp? Does anyone do that? I don’t, because my hair becomes greasier faster if I put conditioner on a whole length of my hair, not just on my ends.
Repurchase: No.

Dove Pure Pflege shampoo
At the beginning I was really fond of this shampoo. It seemed to me that it cleans my hair nicely and it doesn’t dry them out, but longer I was using it greasier my hair became. I don’t know what the hell happened, but when I used this shampoo my hair became greasy already on the next day. It was crazy. I used it up and said to myself I’ll never buy it again. But guess what? I did buy it. By mistake. I wanted to get a conditioner, but I grabbed a shampoo. Now I’m not sure if I should use it or give it away.
Repurchase: No.

Alverde Hair Oil
This is another hair product that I really liked at the beginning, but not so much later. I used it in a combination with Avon treatment and I had really nicely soft and smooth hair, but when I used up Avon’s treatment I was using Alverde oil alone for some time. I had the same routine as before. I used it on wet hair, but even one drop was too much, because my hair was greasy. In the end I just gave up, left some product in the packaging and threw it away.
Repurchase: No.

Balea Dusch-Bodymilk trockene haut
This product promises a lot and a lot of people seem to be enjoying in it, but it didn’t work for me. I actually find Dove shower gels more nourishing than this body milk. You can read about my whole experience with it here.
Repurchase: No.

Balea Dusch&Creme shower gel Mandarin
It was an okay shower gel, like all Balea gels are, although it wasn’t my favourite scent, it was too artificial to me.
Repurchase: No.

Axe Anarchy for Her
I received this shower gel as a gift in DM while buying Axe shower gels for my darling. Axe is some piece of a cake, you know. They released a shower gel for women, but all they did is changing the label on the packaging. To me this product smells exactly as the Anarchy gel for him. Not to mention it’s more liquidly. It didn't feel that bad on the skin, but it's not a nourishing product.
Repurchase: No.

Dove Silk Glow shower gel
I adore Dove shower gels. They are so creamy, they moisturize and nourish the skin, and they smell so good. These are definitely my favourite.
Repurchase: Always.

Yves Rocher Jardins de Monde Orange from Florida shower gel
I didn’t like this shower gel too much. Not because it would be a bad shower gel, because it isn’t, but the scent wasn’t my favourite. Yves Rocher shower gels have strong scent and this one didn’t buy me. In the end I was using it to wash my hands, because I wanted to finish it.
Repurchase: No.

This was a very gentle eye makeup remover that didn’t irritate my eyes and removed everything without rubbing. It wasn’t an oil based remover, so it didn’t leave a film. Although I liked it I won’t repurchase it, because I prefer Ombia two phased remover.
Repurchase: No.

This was an okay cream, once my skin got use to it. It was light and it sank into the skin fast. It worked okay as a base for makeup, but I probably won’t repurchase it, because I found a cream that works better for me (I’m talking about Mixa Anti-dryness cream).
Repurchase: No.

I was using this cream as a night cream and it worked great. Despite its light texture it moisturized my skin perfectly and in the morning it was soft, nourished and not itchy at all. It can be used as a day cream too, but I didn’t work for as a base for foundation.
Repurchase: Maybe.

Rexona Longlasting Protection Fresh
Although Shower Clean is my favourite, I combine it with the scent Fresh, because I don’t want to get bored of it too fast. I think I used three or four bottles of Rexona deodorants and my armpits still didn’t get use to them, meaning they still work amazing against bad smell and sweating.
Repurchase: Already did.

Britney Spears Cosmic Radiance perfume
I received this product as a gift. At the beginning I wasn’t too fond of it, although it smelled nicely, because it was too sweet, but soon it became my favourite scent. It begins with citrus and floral scents, as you can read on Internet (I’m bad in describing scents).
Repurchase: Maybe.

Catrice Vitamin lip treatment
This is the quickies used up lip product in my stash ever. I was using it on my lips during December and I finished it in one month. Yes, in one month. It was a nice smelling, moisturizing and non-sticky lipgloss.
Repurchase: Maybe.

Makeup Revolution Amazing Curl Ultra Black mascara
I wasn’t fond of this mascara, because it didn’t do anything special for my lashes. More here.
Repurchase: No.

Max Factor Excess Volume mascara
This mascara was something. Here wasn’t such a huge problem the volume as it was the wetness at the beginning and the fact that it stuck my lashes together. More here.
Repurchase:No.

Collistar Infinito mascara
I liked this mascara. It gave my lashes a volume, but it can’t beat Essence Lash Princess mascara. More here.
Repurchase: No.

Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Ultra-Volume mascara
This one should give lashes a volume, but for me this one was more of a mascara for natural look with no eyeliner. More here.
Repurchase: No.

Essence I Love Extreme mascara
My favourite mascara until I didn’t discover Lash Princess, which I prefer because it isn’t as wet as I Love Extreme and it defines lashes better. More here.
Repurchase: Maybe.

Essence Lash Princess mascara
My favourite mascara at the moment. I love the volume it gives to my lashes, it makes them longer and it doesn’t stick them together. It also doesn’t give me panda eyes, although here and there I find little black dots under my eyes.
Repurchase: Of course.

Essence The Lash Curler mascara
This one promises volume, nice curl and longevity, but does nothing from the list. More here.

Miyo Big Fat Smokey Eyes mascara
I liked this mascara a lot. Beside the fact that it gave volume to my lashes it also separated them nicely as no other mascara before. Well, unfortunately Miyo is available only in Nama in Ljubljana and I don’t have easy access to it. More about it here.
Repurchase: Maybe.

Essence Studio Nails Ultra Strong Nail Hardener
This is one of the best products Essence ever released. I use it as a base coat and my week nails were never as strong as they are now since I used this hardener.
Repurchase: Yes.

Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat
Favourite top coat of many and I liked it as well. It dries the manicure fast and I noticed that with this one my manicure last longer as if I use Essence Better than Gel Nails top coat. The only thing that bothers me is that it becomes thick too fast.
Repurchase: Already did.

S-he Stylezone glitter eyeliner
This is clear eyeliner with multicoloured glitter and I used it a lot by different looks. I bought this without any purpose and I’d never imagine this would be so useful to me. It’s definitely more appropriate for creative looks.
Repurchase: Already did.

Few nail polishes
I’m throwing away few polishes that are even used up or too thick and impossible to use. Crackle and glitter polishes dry so fast and even nail thinner can’t help them. These polishes are: Essence silver nail art polish, Vollare Nail Artistic purple polish, Joy golden glittery shade, Depend green crackle polish and Essence Nail Art white stamping polish.
Repurchase: No, none.

New In (March, April)

I haven't posted a haul post last month, because I didn't get that much stuff, so I decided to add those products in my April haul post, but now when I have gathered everything together, it seems like I did get a big amount of products lately. I would say that May is going to be my no buy month, but I have a birthday in few days, so I'll have to postpone no buy decision on June. Now let's see what's new in my stash.

Essence The Gel nail polishes are finally available in Slovenia and I couldn't be more happy about them. You can read my first post with swatches of 8 polishes here, while recently I got three new shades that I'm going to review tomorrow. Shades I still need to show you are Indian Summer, Let's Get Lost and Blue Bubble Di Blue.
I also purchased new Essence The Gel base and top coat and for now I have to say I'm really impressed by the combination of both. My manicures last even for four days without chipping, which is almost unbelievable for me. I'll tell you more in a detailed review.

Recently I purchased I Love...Cosmetics set Vanilla&Almond. If you want to know more about it, click here, because I already reviewed it (you still have one day to enter the giveaway).

I think I started collecting micellar waters. At the moment I own at least 6 of them, although two are almost empty. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water was a repurchase, while I got Nivea 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Water and Mixa Anti-dryness Micellar Water on sale. For now I can say I like Mixa, while Nivea is irritating my skin.
I also bought Natura Siberica Aralia Mandshurica night cream, but I'll tell you more about it when I'll properly test it.

Instead of one shampoo I bought three new in April. I haven't try any of these, except Dove Pure Pflege, which was a wrong purchase, because I wanted to get a conditioner. I didn't really like this shampoo, so I just might give it away. Other two shampoos I got are Aussie Aussome Volume and Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Mineral Strenght shampoo

Like I already don't own enough shower gels, I bought three more: Subrina Pina Colada and Cuba Libre, which both smell amazing, and Afrodita Hyaluron

New purchase of last two months is also Essie Garden Variety that I showed you here

In April I got two new mascaras. Max Factor Masterpiece Glamour Extension 3in1 Volumising mascara is my purchase and Oriflame Eyes Wide Open was given to me for review purposes. I'm using both for some time now and none of them is perfect, but I like them both, because together these are a perfect combination. Max Factor gives a volume, but it doesn't make lashes very long, while Oriflame doesn't give an amazing volume, but it curls and prolongs lashes like crazy.

Yesterday I received a package from AlpStories, which is a new brand on Slovenian market. They offer natural cosmetics and a lot of Slovenian ladies got the chance to try their products, so prepare on many post in the future. I choose Damask Rose Floral Water and Hyaluronic Acid Cream. First impressions of both products are very good. I also received Organic Shampoo.
Amazing thing about this brand is that you can make your own product. I already made something for myself and I can't wait to get the package.

Yesterday I also received a package from Born Pretty Store. I got two plates (both are very pretty with gorgeous designs) and a white nail liquid palisade.

The most amazing thing that happened to me in April was an invitation to collaborate with the brand Bourjois. We all know that Bourjois is amazing and lucky Slovenian bloggers got a chance to try few products before they hit the store. Aqua Lacque lip products will be available at the beginning of this month (probably next week), so expect my review next week, while La Lacque nail polishes will be available in the beginning of June and I'll show you swatches of these polishes then.

Thanks to Anja from Moja drogerija I'm also collaborating with MeMeMe Cosmetics. One month ago I got this huge surprise package and in next week I'm beginning with the reviews. I got Flawless Loose Powder in Translucent, Flawless Concealer in Beige, lipstick Cherub Blush, Blush Me! Rouge blush, Correct&Perfect Concealer Kit and Arch Angel Shape&Define Tinted Brow Gel and Highlighting Cream

In December I was participating in Vichy giveaway and I won a prize that finally arrived few weeks ago. I received Teint Ideal 15 foundation, Aqualia Thermal serum and Purete Thermale 3in1 micellar solution. Because the prize arrived so late they also concluded a bag with some samples. For now I really liked the serum and micellar solution, but not that much the foundation because it becomes orange on me and it's very dark for the brightest shade.

This is it. What are your recent purchases? Thank you for reading!

Swatches: Essence The Gel Nail Polish Part 2

I wrote about Essence The Gel nail polishes before. In the end of the March I got 8 shades that I swatched here, so don’t forget to check that post if you haven’t yet. You can also find our more about new brush and formula in that post. Recently I bought three more shades that I wanted to get but were always sold out: Indian Summer, Let’s Get Lost and Blue Bubble Di Blue. Today I'm going to show you swatches of these three shades.

Indian Summer is a gorgeous peachy shade with pink hue to it (at least it looks like that on me). Its creamy formula is a bit sheerer than by other new Essence polishes, and it requires carefulness by application, because it’s runny and can quickly end up on cuticles. But the final result it’s worth the trouble, because nail polish looks amazing once it dries. I also have to mention that it looks darker on nails once it dries. I used two coats for this swatch. On my Instagram you can also check how I upgraded it.

Let’s Get Lost is a teal creamy shade with very nice pigmented formula. It could be opaque in one coat, but I used two, because I’m use to it. It applied smoothly, but it can stain your nails.

Blue Bubble Di Blue is a baby blue cream nail polish shade. Its formula is very similar to Indian Summer’s one, because it’s also sheerer, a bit watery and it requires two coats.

Essence polishes contain 8 ml and they cost 1,69 €. The new range contains 46 shades. They are available at Müller, DM, Tuš drugstore, Beauty World, Click2Chic

Have you tried new The Gel nail polish range? What do you think about these three shades? Thank you for reading!

Review and Swatches: Deborah Milano Smalto Gel Effect 01 and 10

One of those brands that released nail polishes with gel formula that doesn’t require a lamp is also Deborah Milano. Back in December I bought two shades, 01 and 10. On the packaging you won’t find a name, but I searched on Google and Deborah polishes do have a name. 01 is Pink Pulse and 10 is Coral Flash

The formula of Deborah Milano Smalto Gel Effect polishes is amazing, one of the best out there. They are pigmented, while they apply on nails smoothly and evenly without any problem. Big wide narrow brush is one of the factors that enable an easy application. All polishes from this collection have cream finish, which is my favourite. They look glossy once they dry, even without a usage of top coat. I haven’t test them with new Essence The Gel base and top coat, which prolong my manicures (seriously, I can believe I can wear a manicure for four days with no chipping), but they lasted around two days on my nails. At the moment there are 22 shades available, but this year Deborah Milano released 30 new shades. I really hope we’re getting them soon, because I spot few shades I really like.

01 Pink Pulse is a gorgeous nude cream shade. Mateja is talking a lot about it and you can believe her and me that this polish is a must for a nail polish lover. Its formula it’s its advantage, because is one of rare nudes that applies evenly in two coats. For me nudes are amazing as a base for nail art or stamping.

10 Coral Flash is a beautiful coral creamy shade and I like it so much that it ended up in my top 5 nail polish shades for spring. It also requires two coats for a full coverage and it dries a bit darker than it looks in the bottle.

Gel Effect polishes contain 8,5 ml and they cost around 5 €. They are available in DM and Tuš drugstores. I really hope we’re getting new shades, so I can add few of them in my stash.

Have you tried Deborah Milano Smalto Gel Effect polishes? Which ones are your favourite? Thank you for reading!

Review and Swatches: MeMeMe Blush Box Rouge

Blushes are one of my favourite makeup products, but probably not reviewed enough on my blog. Usually I take photos for blog, swatch them, start using them, but then never write a word about them, except it they end up in my favourites. The exceptions are blushes from LE collection. Now I decided to change that and write a blush review each week during May. I’m going to start with MeMeMe Blush Me! Rouge, continue with Catrice blushes, Sleek and end up with Makeup Revolution blush in O’Boy. Yesterday I also received a Makeup Revolution palette All About Cream, but I’ll probably review it in June, because I need some time to test 8 blushes.

MeMeMe Blush Me! blush comes in cute cardboard box packaging which reminds me a lot on Benefit blush packaging. Well, MeMeMe packaging is mostly black with interesting vintage design, except of the lower part and the writing on the lid that are coral. Inside on inner part of the lid there’s a mirror and the brush comes with a brush that’s very soft and dense, and it applies and blends blush very good. This product is great for travelling, because it has everything you need to apply the blush (good brush, a mirror) and it’s sturdy, so you won’t damage it in your makeup bag.
I chose shade Rouge because it looked like it would suit my skin tone the best and I wasn’t wrong. It’s a coral shade with silver shimmer, nicely pigmented, but again not too much to end up looking like a clown. On cheeks the shade changes into a dark rosy-coral shade and I really like it on me. I know, I’m the worse at describing colours. The duration time depends from the intensity of the blush I apply on my cheeks. If I apply it sheerer, with a gentle touch, it fades away in around six hours, but if I apply it bolder (lately I really like to wear strong blush on my cheeks, which maybe isn’t always the best idea), it lasts up to nine hours. Shimmer in the blush gives such a nice glow to the cheeks and I don’t need to use a highlighter with it. The texture seems rough in the packaging, probably because of a shimmer, but very silky on the skin and the blush blends nicely and evenly.

MeMeMe Rouge blush is a nice addition to my collection and if you ask me, it would suit many skin tones, which makes it suitable for most people. The packaging contains 8 g, which is not little and will last for quite some time. International readers can get this blush on MeMeMe Cosmetics official site for £8,95, while Slovenian readers can buy it on Moja drogerija for 12,79 €.

Review and Swatches: Bourjois Aqua Lacque 06 Feeling Reddy and 07 Fuchsia Perché

Bourjois is probably one of the best brands in our drugstores. I started to buy their products late, but the main reason I started to check this brand are Mateja'sreviews and always amazing swatches. In my book Bourjois produces amazing lipsticks and the word has gone crazy over their Velvet Rouge lipsticks. Recently this brand joined the hybrid lipstick trend and they released Aqua Lacque collection. Bourjois pushed this innovation even further and created product that is a combination of high concentration of water and Nymphea extractwhich has great moisturizing abilities (10 hours). There are 8 shades in this collection and one can definitely find a shade for herself, because they released nudes, reds and pinks. The brand recommends applying Aqua Lacque on cleansed, dry lips, while using a nourishing and moisturizing lip balm before usage isn’t recommended. But you can apply lip liner to line your lips.

I got a chance to try shades Feeling Reddy, an orangey red shade, and Fuchsia Perché, a fuchia shade, as the name suggests,. I was really happy to get both shades, because all kind of red and pink shades are my thing and they often end up in my makeup bag. First shade I tried is Fuchsia Perché and I was blown away by its acting on me. Aqua Lacque have watery formula and they remind me more on a good pigmented gloss, rather than on lipstick. Because both my products are bolder shades, they require careful application, but formula slips on the lips easily. On my hand both shades swatched nicely, but on lips they apply sheerer and at least two coats are required for full coverage. However, the application can still end up uneven, especially by Feeling Reddy. What impresses me the most is the feeling on my lips. They are so light and most of the time it feels like I’m not wearing anything, also because these are not sticky. The packaging is very similar to the Velvet Edition lipstick, with the difference that Aqua Lacque lid is glossy. The applicator is a nice spongy one, easy to maintain and enables a good application. If matte lipsticks have quite intensive smell, the scent by Aqua Lacque is almost unnoticeable, but pleasant.

As I mentioned before, Fuchsia Perché impressed me already when I first tried it, while Feeling Reddy gave me completely different experience. I like both shades; I think both of them look good on me, but they act completely different. After application they both give glossy, wet shine look, as Bourjois calls it, that disappears in hour, hour and a half and leaves a gentle shine. By Fuchsia Perché this shine starts fading into an even stain, while Feeling Reddy fades away uneven and leaves uneven stain. They feel very moisturizing, especially at the beginning, which is probably because of the watery formula and Nymphea extract. Fuchsia Perché lasted for few hours on my lips, while Feeling Reddy completely disappeared in around three hours.

Another thing that surprised me by Fuchsia Perché is that it survived a meal. I mean, it did disappear a bit in inner part of the lip and the wet look was gone, but most of the colour (stain) was still there. To achieve fresh look and wet shine I just reapplied one coat of a product on my lips. By this shade I didn’t notice that it would transfer over the edge of my lips, while Feeling Reddy unfortunately did. In few minutes after I apply it it ends up in little cracks in the skin all around my lips (which is also noticeable on swatch). I used lip liner underneath, because I thought it might help, but it only ease off the problem, not completely reduce it. I do like shade Feeling Reddy on me, but I kind of doubt I’d wear it in public, because I’d ask myself all the time, how does it look, is it in place, did it went over the edge of my lips.

 Bourjois Aqua Lacque Feeling Reddy

Bourjois Aqua Lacque Fuchsia Perché

Aqua Lacque products are already available at DM (I’m not sure for Müller), where you’re going to pay around 14 € for 7,7 ml. Do I recommend them? Hmm. I do recommend shade Fuchsia Perché, while you’re purchasing Feeling Reddy on your own responsibility. I would suggest you to check Simona’s review. She also got a red shade and mine was acting the same on my lips, with the difference that mine ended up in small crackles in the skin. I actually find it interesting that two shades from the same collection and with same formula can act so differently on lips. Now I can’t wait to read reviews from my fellow bloggers, especially about nudes, which interest me the most.

Have you tried Aqua Lacque lipsticks already or are you planning to get any shade? Thank you for reading!

V nabiralniku sta me čakala dva odtenka, Feeling Reddy in Fuchsia Perché.

Ladies, today I have quite exciting post for you. I’m doing a collaboration post with lovely Lana from Lana Spital Makeup, a makeup artist and a beauty blogger from Slovenia. I adore her makeup looks, and recently she started doing Youtube videos, so don’t forget to check her Youtube channel, Facebook page, and blogfor more tips and tricks about makeup.

The theme of our creating was “night out”. She did a tutorial for a gorgeous makeup and I did a matching manicure that you can wear with her look. Of course I added a tutorial as well, so you’ll better imagine how to recreate this manicure. Polishes I used for it are S-he Stylezone 115, S-he Stylezone 440, Essence The Boy Next Door and Catrice Vino Tinto

Laki, ki sem jih sama uporabila, so S-he Stylezone 115, S-he Stylezone 440, Essence The Boy Next Door in Catrice Vino Tinto.

Tutorial:
Step 1: I started with Essence The Gel Nail Polish base coat. Base coat will protect your nails, prevent staining and prolong the duration of your manicure.
Step 2: Then I applied two coats of white nail polish (S-he 115).

You can find good white polishes with amazing coverage in our drugstores (as you know it’s not that easy to find a white polish with good opacity). If you’re searching a good white nail polish, I recommend Essence Wild White Ways.
I also added one coat of S-he 440, a white pearly shade, but you can skip this step, because it in the end it actually didn’t make a lot of difference.
Step 3: I helped myself with a top coat which I applied over white polish, so that it dried faster, and then I used round stickers that you can get in any stationer’s shop, and placed them on the root of my nail. I cut stickers on half, because I didn’t want to waste them.
Step 4: I applied one coat of Essence The Boy Next Door, a gorgeous dark blue shimmery shade, on my nails.
Step 5: I removed stickers when blue polish was still wet and then used thin brush and Catrice Vino Tinto nail polish to draw a line between white and blue shades.
Step 6: In the end I applied Essence The Gel Nail Polish top coat to seal my manicure.

Tutorial:
4. korak: Na nohte sem nanesla en sloj modrega šimrastega laka Essence The Boy Next Door.
5. korak: Nalepke sem odstranila, ko je bil moder lak še moker in nato s tankim čopičem med belim in modrim lakom narisala tanko črto s Catrice odtenkom Vino Tinto.
6. korak: Zaključni korak je bil nanos hitrosušečega nadlaka Essence The Gel Nail Polish.

I really hope you like this manicure and tutorial, and of course, don’t forget to check amazing Lana’s video. Thank you for reading!

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash
This wash gel should use people with normal to oily skin, but I don’t find it very appropriate for people like me, who have normal skin, because it dries it. Otherwise the gel has thicker consistency that foams nicely and it also didn’t do the bad job by cleaning my skin. The scent is herbal-ish. I had cleansing gels from Balea and Yves Rocher and none dried my skin, so I decided to skip the purchase of a full size product.
(Re)purchase: No.

Greenland Fruit Emotions Vanilla Lime hand cream
This is definitely one of the best hand creams I ever tried. It’s light and it sinks into the skin fast, but it moisturizes and nourishes it nicely. Not to mention the scent. It’s not very usual combination, but I really like vanilla and lime scents together.
(Re)purchase: Yes.

Alfa Parf Reparative Shampoo
I was using Alfa Parf shampoo for damaged hair when my ends were so damaged that the only thing that helped them was cutting them off, so I can’t say I notice a huge difference on my hair considering the “reparing” effect, but I did like this shampoo. It cleaned my hair nicely, made them soft and they didn’t become greasy very fast.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Farmona Let's Celebrate Pinacolada and Sweet Secret Chocolate body butters
Two okay body butters that moisturized the skin, although I can’t say I was a huge fan of scents. They were just way to strong for me. I kind of liked Pinacolada, while Sweet Secret Chocolate wasn’t my type of body butter scent.
(Re)purchase: Probably no.

Greenland Fruit Emotions Grapefruit Ginger shower gel
If I like Vanilla Lime scent, Grapefruit Ginger scent stinks to me. It’s a hard word to say, but it’s true. Otherwise this was an okay shower gel that didn’t dry my skin.
(Re)purchase: No.

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee shower gel
I wrote about The Body Shop products recently. Shower gel was the product I used up first. It’s a nice shower gel that smells nicely and cleans well the skin, leaving it soft and nice smelling.
(Re)purchase: Probably no.

Farmona Radical Med Reparing shampoo
Luckily I had two testers of this shampoo, which means I had enough of shampoo to wash my long hair (before I chop them) and to test it properly to write my first impression. I actually liked this shampoo a lot. It cleaned my hair very well, didn’t dry it, it made it soft and nice looking even on a second day after wash, which is good, because this means this shampoo doesn’t make the hair greasy.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Farmona Cooling Firming and Anti-cellulite concentrate
This is a gel that sinks fast into the skin, although I have to say I didn’t feel the cooling effect, it gave me more a warm feeling on the skin. One tester was enough for one usage, but after one usage I can’t say if this product works or not, because for that I should test it for a longer time.
(Re)purchase: No.

Farmona Thermoactive Slimming and Anti-cellulite concentrate
Omg, I hate this product. It’s very similar to Cooling Firming concentrate, with the difference that this is a thick cream with warming effect. It takes more time to sink into the skin than Cooling Firming and the feeling that it leaves on the skin is horrible. I felt like something is burning my skin on places on which I applied it. And that feeling lasted for quite a long time. So if you’re thinking about trying Farmona’s anti-celulite product, avoid this one and get Cooling Firming concentrate.
(Re)purchase: Hell no.

Afrodita Natural Care Aloe Vera mask and peeling
This is a two in one product. The peeling is very nice, it’s very gentle, but it works great. My skin was soft and it didn’t irritate it. The mask was also okay, although I should avoid using it right after peeling, because it burned a bit around my nose. Otherwise my skin felt great after I washed it, it was nourished and smooth.
(Re)purchase:Yes.

Montagne Jeunesse Erdbeer maske
This was an okay mask, it felt refreshing on the skin and it didn’t irritate it, but it made it soft after the usage, although I can’t say it made it moisturized. What I didn’t like about it is very strong artificial strawberry scent.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Vichy Nutrilogie 2 Intense Cream for very dry skin
I received this tester with my Vichy prize previous month and I had to try it first, although my skin isn’t anymore as dry as it was during winter. It moisturizes the skin very well, but that’s all I can say about it, since I used it only twice. But it made a good first impression and I think it would be perfect for winter season.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Clarins Orchid Treatment
I was preparing myself to write a review about this product many times and I even had few words written, but in the end I decided not to publish the review. Clarins Orchid Treatment is much hyped product and it seems like everybody loves it, but I have to admit I didn’t notice any difference on my skin when I was using it. The problem I had with it is that it took ages before this oil sink into my skin. I was usually using it alone, because it took about 40 minutes before it completely sank into my skin and because I was using it before bed time I didn’t wait that long to apply my face cream (I usually went to sleep, because I had to wake up early in the morning for work). The second thing I didn’t really like is the scent. The scent actually reminds me on men’s after shave lotion and I always had a feeling like I put my father’s after shave lotion on my face when I was using this product. But the scent is personal preference and some might like it. I’m not saying that this is a bad product, because it worked for many people, but I personally didn’t notice any difference on my skin, so I would not purchase a full size product.
(Re)purchase: No.

Farmona Bamboo&Oils Repairing mask and Strengthening shampoo
I had one tester of shampoo and one of mask and I used up both while I still had long hair. Of course, there wasn’t enough shampoo for the whole surface of my hair, so I can’t say much about it, but the mask didn’t impress me. It didn’t make my hair as soft and smooth as it says on the packaging that it should.
(Re)purchase: No.

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque
This is a product that made a huge impression on me. It’s a thick mask that worked amazingly on my hair. My hair was as soft and smooth as never before. I couldn’t believe how nice my hair was after the usage. I’m seriously thinking about purchasing a full size mask, although I really don’t like buying very expensive products for hair.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Lee Stafford Arganoil from Marocco Nurishing Miracle Oil
I got 5 ml tester which was enough for few usages. It smelled really nicely, it made my hair soft and not greasy. I was using it on wet hair, like all other oils.
(Re)purchase: Maybe.

Review: Born Pretty Store Plate L013

Recently I received a package from Born Pretty Store and plate L013 was one of the products I chose to review. I usually post manicures with plates I receive from them, because I never had a problem with any of them, but this time I decided to do a full review.

L013 is a big rectangular plate with 21 designs. The whole plate measures 12,5 x 6,5 cm, while each designs measures 1,4 x 1,6 cm. This means they are big enough to transfer completely even on wide nails. It reminds me a lot on MoYou plates, but BP is bigger.
I chose this plate, because designs looked very interesting to me. I especially like diamonds (4th design in 1st row), stars and hearts (5th and 6th designs in 2nd row) and geometric lines (4th design in third row). All designs have the same size, but not every one of them is well engraved. I tried to swatched this plate on a piece of paper, showing you how each design transfers, but I guess I'm not the best at this work. But it's quite visible from my photos, which designs don't work that well. By some the corner isn't visible, but that's because I didn't pick them up nicely with a stamper. The second diamond design (5th design in 1st row), vintage design (last one in 1st row) and lines (2nd in 3rd row) did not transfer the best. By some other depended from the polish I used, but most of them is engraved nicely and it's not a problem to do a manicure with them.
This is a nice palette, but I have to say I don't like it as much as BP plates I tried before this one. BP round plates are still my favourite. The price for this palette is not high, you pay 5,46 €($5.99) for 21 designs.
If you're going to shop at Born Pretty Store, use my codeDFL91 for 10 % discount. The shipping is free.

I made four different manicures with this plate, using different designs. My favourite is the first one. I won't write a list of polishes I used for each manicure, but if any interests you, tell me in comment section.

How do you like this plate and my manicures? Thank you for reading!

Random Sunday #49 (Trying to Be More Healthy)

Sorry, ladies, this post will be only in Slovene, because I find it easier to express my thoughts in my mother's language.

Review and Swatches: Catrice Defining Blushes

I was introduced to Catrice Defining Blush collection two years ago. I mean, people were bragging about them before, but I never paid too much attention to them, until I didn’t put Pinkerbell in bag two year ago on Catrice and Essence event. I was so impressed by this blush that I had to get few more and today I’m presenting you Think Pink, Mandy-rine and Love&Peach, beside Pinkerbell, of course. I recently purchased Rose Royse as well, but that blush will get its own review, because I haven’t properly used it yet.

The packaging of Defining blushes is nothing special, is a transparent rectangular plastic packaging with the name of the blush collection on top and all information on the back, but it’s sturdy with great closure system that will prevent opening of the blush, if you’re going to carry it in your bag.

The texture of these blushes is amazing – silky and soft. They are quite buttery and not too powdery. They swatch evenly on the back of the hand and the same they act when I’m applying them on cheeks. By swirling the brush into the blush I can quickly apply it too much on face because of a good colour payoff (especially Pinkerbell), so I rather dab the brush into the blush, shake it lightly and then build it up to the intensity I want. The duration time depends from how much of the blush I apply, but mostly these survive on cheeks a whole working day. All shades from this collection are matte, so these are perfect for people who like matte finish on cheeks or for people like me who like to use stronger highlighter on the top of the cheek.

Catrice Love&Peach
This is a vivid peach shade

Catrice Pinkerbell
This is a bright pink shade. It definitely won’t be a shade for everyone, but I love it. It‘s stronger pink than Think Pink and the difference between them is definitely visible on cheeks.

Catrice Mandy-rine
This is my all time favourite blush, because it really looks natural on cheeks and it goes well with every look I do. It’s a peachy shade, but nothing close to Love&Peach, which has a bit more coral in it than Mandy-rine.

Catrice Think Pink
This is a coral-pink shade, but it gives more rosy look to the cheeks.

Catrice blushes contain 5 g of product and they cost 3, 79 €. In my book these are the best drugstore blushes. The quality is amazing and you won’t be disappointed. You can get them in DM, Tuš drugstore and Müller.

Have you tried Catrice Defining Blush line before? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

FOTD: Birthday Makeup Look

As a huge makeup junkie I can't celebrate my birthday without colorful makeup, right? I had no idea what kind of makeup I want to wear on my eyes, but I guess purple and blue are really my type of colours. I can't deny I feel amazing with colourful look, even if I go only shopping, like I went today, and I definitely needed a break from nude looks I mostly wear lately, because I'm trying to use Catrice Absolute Matt palette as much as possible. I combined the look with one of the prettiest lip shades there is - a combination of Essence lip liner in A Girl's Dream and Bourjois Nude-ist. I didn't add false lashes to this look, because I wore it a whole day and because of my glasses it's impossible to wear false lashes. But I think makeup would look even better with them.
I couldn't decided which photo of this makeup I want to post, so prepare for a photo heavy post. Information about products I used for this look can be found lower in this post.

Povej nam nekaj o sebi.
Ljubiteljica narave, otrok, motorjev in ustvarjalnosti. Moje delovanje temelji na ponovni uporabi in recikliranju.

Komu so tvoji izdelki namenjeni?

Makeup on a Budget: Drugstore Beauty

It's not a secret that I'm a drugstore makeup buyer and that I love inexpensive makeup. The fact that the product costs a little amount of money doesn't always mean that is bad. In this post I'd like to share few ideas for those, who are starting with makeup and have a limited budget to buy it. I'm going to recommend few products that I love and probably mention also a few that my co-bloggers love.

First thing first, a skin care. Taking care of your skin is the most important, because no makeup can save skin problems (it can only cover them up). I personally have normal to dry skin, so for me the most important thing is to moisture the skin before applying makeup. I have to pay special attention to my nose, where my skin can be the driest, and to my forehead – I have to make sure that makeup won’t emphasize any dry parts on my skin. My favourite cream to use it Mixa Anti-Dryness cream with 10% glycerin, because it moisturizes and mattifies my skin and it's also great to use under foundation.

PRIMER
I wasn’t using primers for a long time and if you're a beginner I'd say it's not necessary. Primers smooth your skin and are a base for foundation. They should also prolong the duration of a foundation on your face. My favourite primer is L'Oreal Lumi Magique primer (around 13 €), which gives a healthy glow to my skin. I also love to use it as highlighter. Very popular primer in beauty world is also Max Factor Face Finity All Day primer (around 13 €).
Very important is also an eyeshadow base, especially if you have oily lids, because it prevents eyeshadow from creasing. The best in our drugstores and not expensive at all is, by my opinion, Catrice Prime&Fine (3,79€). Eyeshadows are easy to blend over it, don't crease and look intense.

FOUNDATION
The choice of foundation depends from personal preferences. Some like dewy finish, some matte, some like light coverage, some full coverage. The choice of a foundation also depends a lot from your skin tone (pink, yellow, neutral). Many people say that foundation is meant to even out the skin and that's the purpose I use it for. I suggest you to go to the drugstore and ask for a sample to try it at home. I highly recommend Bourjois foundations because they have big range of shades, also very light ones if you're pale. Healthy Mix serum (around 15€) is perfect for those who search a light coverage and a dewy finish. On the other hand you can try Catrice foundations. I find All Matt Plus (6,79€) and Nude Illusion (7,69€) perfect foundation collections. Both have medium coverage and gave matte finish to the skin. Bourjois has yellow undertone and both Catrice foundation have more neutral tone. If you can’t find a perfect match, you can mix different foundations. Now, if you're searching a full coverage foundation, try Revlon’s, many Slovenian bloggers recommend them.

CONCEALER
Concealer is a product that should cover up all imperfections and blemishes on your skin. I personally don't have much blemishes on my skin and foundation covers almost everything, but I need a concealer to cover up my under eye circles and I also use it around my nose, where my skin tends to be very red. My favourite is Essence Stay All Day Longlasting 16h concealer. For 3 € you get a medium coverage concealer that is good to use on under eye area and on blemished on the face. Very similar to Essence is new Catrice Velvet Finish (4,69€), with the difference that's a bit drier, but it works great anyway, as well under my eyes as also for redness around my nose. The best for covering blemishes is Catrice Camouflage cream (3,29€). It has thicker consistency than concealers, but it blends easily and it to the skin. All three mentioned products have shades, bright enough for paler people like I.

BLUSH
Blushes are probably my favourite makeup products beside eyeshadows which allow me to create many different looks. Some people don't use blushes, but by my opinion they are a must. I mean, we all have our natural blush, right? The best in our drugstores, and I ramble a lot about them, are Catrice Defining blushes (3,79€). Catrice offers 9 different matte shades and every girl can find a blush that will suit her complexion. One of my favourite drugstore blushes is also Maybelline 501(2,89€). Unlike Catrice Maybelline offers shimmery shades and I think these are worth checking. Blushes that are worth checking for are also Essence blushes from trend edition collections. Essence releases new collections all the time and during years they released few gems. Not to mention cute designs on blushes, they always make an effort with these.
If you like shopping on internet, I suggest you to check Sleek blushes (around 6,50€). Besides sturdy and high quality packaging they offer amazing pigmented shades. My favourite is Pomegranate. The inexpensive brand that won't disappoint you is also Makeup Revolution. I tried only cream blushes from them them, but bloggers all over the word like powdery ones and Vivid Blush Lacquer in shade O Boy (4,95€) I tried blue my mind, because it's so good pigmented that you need only a tiny bit of product to achieve colour on cheeks. Also, the palette All About Cream (8,95€) contains 8 very nicely pigmented blushes.

HIGHLIGHTER
I didn't wear highlighters for a long time, but when I discovered their beauty, they became a non-replaceable part of my collection. Essence can produce true gems in their trend edition collections, so I suggest you to check those if you have a chance. One of those highlighters is Metal Glam Gold Digger, which is loved by many bloggers. In regular assortment they offer creamy highlighter Soo Glow! Look on the Bright Side (2,99€) that's easy to use and gives a gorgeous shine to the cheeks. Natural cosmetics lovers know brand Terra Naturi very well. While their products are a hit or a miss, highlighter Golden Highlight(3,99€) is worth trying. It's a golden shimmery highlighter. Brand we cannot skip when mentioning highlighters is Makeup Revolution. Their baked blushes and highlighter is cute heart shape are very popular and from my experience I can say that they are not bad. I tried a Goddess of Love (5,95€), which is a highlighter with pink hue and it looks pretty on cheeks.

LIP PRODUCTS
If you are "scared" of colors and like lipglosses, I suggest checking Catrice Beautifying lipsmoothers (3,79€) and Deborah Milano Glossissimo (around 6€) lip glosses. Both are moisturizing and give a bit of colour to the lips. Essence and Catrice offer nude lipsticks as well as bright and bold one, and both brands make great lipsticks for a low price. The brand that's also worth checking is P2. I tried one of their lipsticks, but it impressed me like no one before. P2 is availableon Moja drogerija for 3-5€. Brand that probably offers the best lipsticks in our drugstore is Bourjois. Their product cost a bit more, but they won't easily disappoint you. My personally favourite isRouge Velvet edition (around 14€), which offers matte shades.

MASCARA
Mascara is quite a personal choice. Everyone has different lashes and everyone expect different effect from mascara. I personally adore mascaras that give me a volume and Essence I LikeExtreme, Miyo Big Fat Smoky lashes and Essence Lash Princess did this job great. All mascaras cost less than 5 €.

Let me know, what are your favourite drugstore products. Thank you for reading!

Review and Swatches: Essence Liquid Ink Matte and High Gloss Eyeliners

When it comes to eye makeup eyeliner is a must for me. I do wear eye makeup without eyeliner, when I don’t have time to draw a line (I need to take time for a nice, straight, precise line) or when I’m not in the mood for it, but eyeliner makes a huge difference in my makeup. My favourite or most used are liquid eyeliners, although these are not the easiest to use. Today I’m going to talk about Essence Liquid Ink eyeliners that a lot of people love, while I like them, but I can’t say I’m madly in love with them.

The family of Essence Liquid Ink eyeliners got bigger last fall, when Essence released Matt and High Gloss eyeliners. As the name already says they main feature is the finish. One gives completely matte look, while other high glossy one. They are packed in a black standard Essence packaging with a thin brush. I’ve never notice this till now, but High Gloss eyeliner has a smaller and thinner brush than Matt eyeliner (or maybe is this just in my case). That also means that High Gloss eyeliner is easier to maintain.

The formula of these eyeliners is very wet, but with good colour payoff, because it covers the skin with first layer already. One can do a thin or thicker line with them; it depends from one’s preferences (if you noticed I like thicker line). Theyupgrade nicely, because they don’t dry too fast, which means you are able to layer it and fix the mistakes you did and that way to create a perfect line. Then again they dry quickly enough, so that they don’t transfer on the upper part, above the crease. Liquid eyeliners never make a problem by doing a flick and the same is here (I only have a problem by doing a flick with some not so great pencil eyeliners). Both eyeliners are true black shades.

Now let’s go to some not so great qualities (or better said quality). The one that bothers me the most is that soon after application they start to crackle in the inner corner of my eye, sometimes also on the part where the flick starts. Luckily I wear glasses, which makes this almost imperceptible for other people, but it bothers me. These don’t smudge a whole day if I don’t touch them, but if I get tears in my eyes or I get in touch with water (for example rain) they do smudge. Both of them, actually, which surprises me, because Matt eyeliner should be waterproof; at least that’s what it says on the packaging. I think I quite used up Matt eyeliner, because it already became thicker and a bit harder to apply nicely, but I don’t have a huge problem with that, because that happens with all liquid eyeliners. I also have to point out that none of these irritated my eyes in any way. The removal is not the easiest, but it’s also not something that micellar water couldn’t remove with a bit more attention.

Essence Liquid Ink High Gloss eyeliner.
Essence Liquid Ink Matte eyeliner.

These contain 3 g of product and cost around 3 € (available in drugstores that sell Essence). As I said, I do like them, although I can’t say I’m madly in love with them. But for the price these are good eyeliners. Finishes are different, so there’s something for everyone. I personally still prefer Catrice Ultra FineInk eyeliner in shade Don’t Move, but unfortunately I don’t have it anymore to compare it with Essence eyeliners. I also haven’t repurchased it yet, because I want to use up those eyeliners I already have first.

Have you tried Essence Liquid Ink eyeliners? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

My Eyeshadows Palette Collection

I was asked few times to show you my makeup collection, but always when I think about how much work would require that kind of post, because taking photos and editing would take me ages, I change my mind (and that probably tells you my makeup collection isn’t small). So I decided to show you my collection piece by piece. You really seemed to like My blush collection post, so today I decided to show you my eyeshadow palette collection. I didn't add swatches of each palette, because most of them I already reviewed, so you can check those swatches. Links will be under the name of the palette.

Catrice Big City Life San Francisco and Paris palettes
San Francisco and Paris were part of second Big City Life collection and are palettes that contain 6 eyeshadows, two blushes, black kajal pencil and a brush. Paris is more everyday palette, while San Francisco is more for those who like blue eyeshadows. I like them both, but it’s been for even since these were used. I have many other palettes that I rather use, but I haven’t give these away because the packaging is just too cute (gosh, I’m the worse when it comes to packaging).

Beauty UK 1 Pastels
This is a palette with 10 pastel shimmery shades. It’s one of my least favourite palettes in my collection, I actually like the best both brown shades. I rarely use it.

Beauty UK 4 Glitz
This is a palette with 10 colourful eyeshadows that contain silver glitter. It’s not that is a bad palette, although colour combination is a bit crazy, but it comes handy occasionally.

Beauty UK 4 Earth Child
This is my favourite Beauty UK palette. It’s more of a neutral palette and perfect for days when I don’t want colour on eyes. In the past it was more often used than it is now, I’m really neglecting it.

Beauty UK 5 Twilight
A palette with 10 darker blue and purple eyeshadows that is perfect for those who prefer dark shades. It’s actually quite lovely palette, I have to use it again soon.

Beauty UK 6 Day&Night
By my opinion this is the best Beauty UK palette, because it has the best pigmented eyeshadows – all others have an okay pigmentation, but we can find many brands that make better palettes. This one also has a bit strange mixture of colours, but I don’t mind.

 MUA Undressed
This is a first ever made dupe for Naked 1 (as far as I know, but I might be wrong). I use to loved this palette, because it has gorgeous shades and it’s good pigmented, but with time I started to neglect it. It’s one of those palettes I’ll have to take out of the box and start using again.

MUA Glamour Nights
Few shades in this palette are quite amazing, but overall it’s not one of my favourites, because I don’t have any ideas how to wear it. Golden, purple, green and red shades are quite pretty, but others are usual or better said boring. I don’t have a review about it, although I did swatch it, because I’m not a huge fan of it and I decided not to review it in the end.

MUA Dusk Till Down
Another palette that’s not my favourite. It has quite boring shades, although few of them are quite interesting (like green or purple duochrome one).

Sleek Curacao
Unfortunately this one was a limited edition palette, but it’s one of my favourite palettes ever. I use it all the time when I’m doing colourful looks, because it has amazingly pigmented matte eyeshadows (and some are shimmery). And it’s colourful, what is the main reason I felt in love with it.

Sleek Chaos
Probably my least used Sleek palette. It has 12 matte shades, a combination of coloured and everyday shades, but I don’t use it much. I think it’s guilty that colourful shades are not as bright as in Curacao or Acid palettes.

Sleek Acid
Another favourite Sleek palette. It has a combination of shimmery and matte eyeshadows, but it has neon shades! Neon makes me happy, what can I say. You can find many makeup looks with it on my blog. I definitely recommend this palette to anyone, who wants to play with makeup or just loves colours.

Sleek Storm
Storm was one of my first palettes and the reason I felt in love with this brand. It’s a palette that allows me to do a gentle or smokey look and it has some gorgeous shades; few of them I’d also place in my perfect palette if I’d do it (check the tag here).

Sleek Vintage Romance

Vintage Romance is another palette that was a part of limited edition, and it was very popular among bloggers when it came out. It’s no wonder, because it has a gorgeous colour selection, perfect especially for fall and winter season.

 Makeup Revolution Acid Brights
This is a dupe for Sleek Acid palette. You can find my comparison with it here. I personally prefer Sleek palette.

Makeup Revolution Hot Smoked
This palette stole my heart immediately. 12 eyeshadows in brighter matte and darker shimmery shades are just perfect for someone like me who likes darker looks, but these long lids are not the prettiest and eyeshadows crease on me after some time.

Makeup Revolution Dia de los Muertos
This is a palette with 12 eyeshadows in square lid and 6 in round lids. It’s not a bad palette at all, if your collection is small, but I noticed that some of the eyeshadows are very similar to the ones in Acid Brights and Hot Smoked palettes. Surprisingly my favourite eyeshadows in this palette are four neutral matte ones in round lids.

Makeup Revolution Big Love
This is my latest addition to my Makeup Revolution palette family. It’s a 3 in 1 palette. It has 3 sections with 5 eyeshadows that allow you to create one look, but you can of course mix them. It’s a lovely palette.

NYX The Caribbean Collection I Dream of Saint Lucia
This palette has 5 coloured eyeshadows that are really nicely pigmented, but it’s not as often used as it could be, regarding its bright shades.

Inglot palette (freedom system)
I won this palette on Parokeets blog and I was over the moon because of that, because Inglot eyeshadows are amazing – pigmentation, duration time, application ... I have nothing bad to say about them.

Deborah Milano Smokey Eye Nude Rose

Deborah Milano created four palettes that allow you to do a smokey look. I chose palette with more rosy shades, which is unusual for me, but it was the prettiest. Although I think MR and Sleek make better palettes, this one is good as well.

 Flormar Pretty Compact P041
Flormar has four warm coloured eyeshadows that remind me on fall leaves, so for me this is a perfect palette for that season. The pigmentation is quite good; I was surprised, because I didn’t expect it.

Deborah Milano Hi Tech 08
This is a trio palette with golden, purple and burgundy metallic shades that are nicely pigmented.

Isadora Northern Lights
I’m not a fan of this palette. It has one white and three purple eyeshadows, but they are way too shimmery for me.

MeMeMe Goddess Eyes
Another of my favourite palettes. It’s a palette with four shades that one can wear on a daily basis, and the pigmentation is also good (I had a trio palette before as well, but the pigmentation was far from this one). I especially love it, because it gives a golden look to my eyes.

Wet’n’Wild Comfort Zone
I rambled about this palette a lot. I really like its soft and good pigmented eyeshadows.

Catrice Absolute Matt Eyes Wide Matt
This is my go to palette, since I decided to hit a pan on it this year. I already hit the pan on two shades and soon I’ll hit it on two others as well, so it can happen that I’ll use most of it till the end of the year. This palette has nicely pigmented matte eyeshadows that are great for every day.

Essence All About Sunrise
Quite surprisingly, I haven’t used this palette yet. But the shades look amazing for summer, so it’ll come handy soon.

Essence Metallics Steel Me Quattro and Copper Rulez
These were a part of an old Essence LE Metallics and Copper Rulez was one of my all time favourite palettes. I used it quite a lot in a short time, but then I started to collect palettes and mono eyeshadows, and in my growing collection this one stayed behind.

Essence Pocket Beauty Eye Love to Travel
This was a part of regular collection some time ago. It’s an average palette and I haven’t used it for ages, so I should probably throw it away.

Essence Cherry Blossom Girl Under a Cherry Tree
Another Essence LE palette. Although it’s not as amazingly pigmented as coloured eyeshadows by some other brands are, I like it, especially because of a peachy shade.

Essence Sun Club Long Island Breeze
Another palette that was in regular assortment few years ago, but then it got discontinued. Back when I got it I was using it quite a lot.

Essence Vampire’s Love Love at First Sight
I kind of liked this palette when I got it, but now I can’t find a purpose for it anymore, I have so many better palettes.

Essence Legends of the Sky From Zero to Hero
A palette with quite special packaging and it’s actually the same with her as with Love at First Sight palette. I liked it at the beginning, but now I find it’s not enough pigmented to use it by colourful looks.

Essence Ready for Boarding Beauty on Tour

Although this palette has an average pigmentation, most of the shades are pastels and I loved it in the past, because it always allowed me to do a gentle look with it. Even now I still like it, it’s so pretty.

Parisax Bleu Nuage
This is probably my least favourite palette of all time, I have no idea why I still own it. It has 5 blue toned eyeshadows, but most of them have grey undertone, which I don’t like, and when they are blended they look just too similar.

Manhattan M&Buffalo Beige Ballerina and Green Stiletto
Review and swatches here and here
Manhattan released few palettes with four matte eyeshadows some time ago and back then I was all about neutral and green shades. None of these palettes are bad, but now I sometimes use only Beige Ballerina, I completely neglected Green Stiletto.

Catrice Revoltaire Toxic Combination
As I said before, in the past I was all about green eyeshadows, so this palette had to be mine, too. Not to mention the nice packaging this palette has. I used it few times when I got it, but now not anymore.

Catrice Rumble in the Jungle
I got this palette because I really felt in love with colour combination, although it’s not typical. Again, as it happened with all other small palettes I soon started to neglect it.

S-he Stylezone Eyeshadow Quattro 245

This palette hid from my camera, that’s why it’s not on photo. :P It’s my recent purchase and I have to admit that S-he did a quite good job with it. It’s a colourful palette, so no wonder I had to have it.

What I learned from this post? That I should really get rid of some old and unused palettes, because they don’t get any love, that Sleek makes the best palettes (if I focus on my collection) and that my collection isn’t small, but again not as huge as it seemed when I was taking photos.

Now tell me something about your palette collection? Do we have any similar? How do you like my collection? Do we have any palettes in common? Thank you for reading!

Random Sunday #50 (Insanity Update)

S ponedeljkom sem zakorakala v nov, tretji teden Insanitya.

Review: Born Pretty Liquid Palisade

I’ve been noticing for a while now a usage of a liquid palisade in a nail art world. It’s a product that you apply on your cuticles before doing a nail art or stamping and when you’re finished you remove it and with it everything what would usually end up on your cuticles and would require a cotton bud soaked in nail polish remover for clean up. That way the clean up after stamping is easier. I’ve heard that “peel off” base coats are great for that cause as well, but when I tried my Essence base coat, it was quite hard to remove from cuticles. But then I saw that Born Pretty has released a liquid palisade and a peel off base coat in one and I had to try it. Born Pretty product is very similar to Essence peel off base coat – it’s white in the bottle, but when it dries it becomes transparent. It has an interesting rosy smell, so it doesn’t stink. It doesn’t irritate my skin when I apply it, it also doesn’t dry it and it’s easy to removewhen it dries. The cleanup is almost non-existent when I use this product. Although this should be a base coat as well, I haven’t use it for that purpose (yet), because I prefer usual base coat that dries in a minute and I also rarely use glittery polishes lately so it wasn’t necessary.

Tutorial:
  1. Apply two coats of a chosen polish on your nails.
  2. Apply a thicker coat of a liquid palisade on your cuticles.
  3. Wait few minutes that the liquid palisade dries (you know that is dry when it becomes transparent).
  4. Stamp the chosen design on your nails.
  5. Use tweezers and remove the liquid palisade.
  6. Clean up around the edges and use a top coat to finish your manicure.

In BornPretty Store you’ll get a 15 ml bottle of liquid palisade for 9,27 €, but currently it’s on sale for 7,41 €. Liquid palisade is definitely a good product for people who adore stamping and do it often, but don't want to bother with clean up all the time, but for all other I think it's not a must.
