Theodora is a blogger that I'm following for few years now and she's such an amazing girl. I'm so happy that she returned after long hiatus, because I always enjoyed watching her manicures, not to mention her makeup, which is amazing. Theodora is such a beautiful girl and everything she does she does perfectly. Today she did a matching manicure and makeup, because she knows I love that kind of posts and I think she did an amazing job. I hope you're going to love her work as much as I do.

Hello lovely people!
My name is Theodora and I am the writer of Theadorable Beauty Blog :)
I am so glad Tatjana offered me the chance to post on her gorgeous blog, because its one of my absolute favorites!
When she asked me if I wanted to do this for her, I immediately knew that I had to do something with both nail art and make-up! I love it when she does those combined posts and I bet you as her readers do too ;)
So let's move on to the pictures, shall we?

This is one simple and yet so eye-catching nail art, right? I used one thick layer of Catrice - Forget-Me-Not on half of the nail and one layer of Essence Snow Alert! on the other half. Then I quickly grabbed a toothpick, dragged it through the polish in a circular motion..and voilà! After that I just applied one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Coat to seal off the design.

For the matching make-up I obviously had to use some purple color and that happens to be one of my favorite eye shadow colors! ;) Here is the look:

I will list only the products I used for the eyes and eyebrows (otherwise the post will be too long), but feel free to ask if you wanna know something specific :)

- Essence How To Make Brows Wow (Love Brunettes)
- Maybelline BROWdrama - Medium Brown
- P2 Perfect Eyes Base
- W7 In The Buff Palette (Color: Silk)
- Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 Palette (Colors: Villan + Dune)
- Maybelline Gel Eyeliner 01 Black
- Astor Seduction Codes Mascara
- Ardell Demi Wispies Black

That's it for my part!
Thank you again Tatjana for letting me take over your blog for today, I feel honored that you asked me! I hope you and your readers like this and thanks for reading! <3 font="" nbsp="">3>

Mateja is one of the bloggers I read and follow for the longest time and her blog is one of my favourite, so she was an obvious choice for a guest blogger on my blog. Her blog is always interesting, fresh and full of new ideas. She's such an inspiration to me as a blogger and a person who loves cosmetics. She's guilty for so many of my purchases (and I'm not meaning that in a bad way. Okay, maybe my wallet does. :P). When I'm thinking about purchasing a new product and Mateja says it's great I go and buy it, that's how much I trust her. She writes honest and deep reviews and if you're searching for a blogger with honest reviews and realistic swatches she's the one you need to follow. And she's such a pretty girl. Today she's recommending you 6 drugstore purchases and I have to say I agree with her. I tried first four products that she's mentioning and I'm loving them all.

 CATRICE Absolute Matt Eyeshadow Palette
010 Eyes Wide Matt
A budget palette that completely blew me away. I'm a huge fan of these matte, neutral palettes that are excellent for defining the eyes and as far as I'm concerned, the quality of this palette is very similar to UD's Naked Basics Palettes. The eyeshadows are just a bit "dustier", but all have excellent pigmentation and blend well.  The shades are like Naked Basics and Naked2 Basics were merged together bringing the best of both into one palette, the only thing missing is a pitch black shade. It's a fantastic palette for the price.

CATRICE Illuminating Blush
010 I'm Nuts About You
Catrice blushes are my favourites and though, admittedly I find the Defining blushes range slightly better quality, it's the shade of this one that completely won my heart. I've been wearing it pretty much non-stop since I got it a few months ago, especially when I need to look good because I know this shade works for me. There's something about this natural shade that just compliments my pale neutral skin tone so well. It's a natural-pink shade that just looks amazing on the skin, way better than any coral blush could ever on me and best of all it goes with any look. Its only shortcoming if I can even call it that, is that it's not particularly illuminating (meaning no excessive shimmer).

 Deborah Smalto Gel Effect
01
An opaque nude nail polish with a well-behaving formula that also suits your skin tone is about as rare as pink unicorns, especially when you want something on a budget. This is one of my absolute favourite nail polishes both because of the colour and the formula. It's such a lovely nude, but one with rose-violet-taupe tones that keep it from looking to mannequin-hands-like and it just suit my skin tone so well. The formula is so smooth and surprising easy to apply for an opaque nude nail polish, but what impressed me more is how shiny is the finish. The wide brush is a nice plus as well.

BALEA My Golden Twenties and 50's Forever Pflegecremen
Universal creams with rose-lavender scent and with cheery scent
These are some of the best cheap thrills I discovered recently and definitely ones with the cutest packaging featuring a retro design. Though it's a universal cream, which brings associations of thick, greasy creams, this is actually very light, fast absorbent and yet still very moisturising. Due to the fact it sinks in within a minute, I use these as a hand cream and I'm a person who dislikes hand creams, therefore avoid using them. I even use them on my face occasionally, since I'm currently moisturiser-less and they work great. My Golden Twenties smells like lavender with a hint of honey to me (the more neutral smelling of the two), while 50's Forever smells like cherry soda/candy.
DM, 1.19€ (30 ml)

 GARNIER Oil Beauty Nährendes Öl-Peeling
a.k.a. GARNIER Oil Beauty Scrub
One of my favourite shower discoveries from last year, even though I'm not amazed by its scrubbing abilities. It's the texture that sold me, since it's something quite unexpected for a product that is so affordable. For me this is a luxurious-feeling, every day body wash and it starts off as a gel with sparse scrubby particles which then transforms into an oil-creamy foam. So basically it feels lovely to use, smells great and it's affordable.
Müller, 4.99€

L'ORÉAL Elvital Glatt-Intense Pflege-Shampoo
a.k.a. L'ORÉAL Elvive Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Shampoo
I declare that I have found my absolute favourite budget-friendly shampoo. It performs like a very high-end shampoo and believe me, I have tried tons. The only one that is better than L'Oreal's is Oleo-Relax by Kérastase (which is owned by L'Oreal) and even that one is just like Elvital on steroids, meaning that if you have very demanding hair like me, you'll notice the difference between the two, otherwise no. L'Oreal's has a similar effect,so it feels like some conditioner was added in it and the hair feels a bit silky when you're rinsing it off. It also doesn't leave my hair so squeaky clean that's it's dried out and it smells nice. I'm a huge fan of this.

Have a great day!

New In (January)

After a week of not blogging (you read 5 guest post on my blog this week) is a bit hard to get back in the saddle, but I have a feeling like I'm going to be late with my posts if I won't start posting them today, so first I want to share my purchases of January with you.

I received few testers from a brand, called Farmona. I tried few of them already and my opinion is quite mixed, but it's true that after one tester I can't say how good or bad the product is. I wasn't planning to do a separate post about these testers, because I'm going to mention them in Empties post, but if you're interesting in my opinion and separate post, let me know.

I love when DM is having an offer where you buy one products and get another one for free. In January I took advantage of this offer and bought quite few products. First are Dove shower gels (Silk Glow, Purely Pampering), which are amazing and I can't recommend them enough. Next is my currently favourite deodorant Rexona Longlasting Protection. I bought different scents (Fresh and Shower Clean), because I don't want to get tired of one scent too quickly.

I adore Mixa 24h Moisturizing Anti-dryness face cream with 10 % glycerin. Since I got one for a half of price I decided to buy two. No matter how many face cream will I try and love I'll always return to Mixa. Next is Nivea Aqua Effect Soothing Cleansing Mousse. I bought two different foams, one for dry skin to use now during winter time, and one for normal skin to use during summer. So far I like it. And for the end my favourite two phased eye makeup remover from Ombia, because these kind of removers are always necessary for me when I do bolder looks for which I use a lot of makeup.

I spoiled myself with few lips products last month. First is Essence nude lipstick in shade Cool Nude, which I adore and I already reviewed here. Catrice Go Flamingo Go lip balm was discontinued and since this was my favourite shade of their balm (which I already used up) I decided to repurchase it. Moja drogerija had a huge action on many products last month and Sleek Matte Me lip creams were much cheaper and I wanted to try them for a long time, so I bought Party Pink and Fandago Purple. The same goes for Deborah Milano Red Laque lipstick. It was 30 % off at Müller, so I got shade 09, which is absolutely gorgeous.

Nail polishes are a special love of mine and during January I got few gorgeous shades:
Catrice Rock-o-co L’Ombre A Sanssouci (review)
Essence Always on my Mint (swatches soon)
Catrice (S)wimbledon
Essence I Nude It (review)
L'Oreal Blake (review)
golden leaf foil from Moja drogerija (wearing it here)

I'm loving peach Essence Lash Princess mascara, so I was very curious about green one, which promises even more volume. Well, I'm not that impressed. I don't find it any better than peachy one, I'm not a fan of the brush and also not the formula, which I find closer to Essence I Love Extreme Volume mascara. I'm going to test it for a longer period and then let you know if I like it better or not. I ran out of S-he glitter eyeliner, which I use a lot with bolder and festive look, so I repurchased it and I also decided to finally give a chance to NYX HD eyeshadow base, which is so praised by many bloggers. After few days of usage I can say I like it a lot, it's definitely much better than Essence one.

Lately I became fond of Essence limited edition collections again, but it would probably be better if I wouldn't. From Hidden Stories I bought a highlighter Enter Wonderland, which didn't really impress me. You can read my review here (I also got a nail polish, which I forgot to include on photo).
From Unforgettable Kiss I got two duo blushes Nothing but Lovestoned and Pink Me. I expected that these are going to be amazing, since Essence releases great blushes in their LE collections. They aren't really pigmented, but luckily they are buildable, so I can achieve nice look with them. I'm going to write a review in next few days and show you how both look on me.

And for the end I have Makeup Revolution Big Love palette, which is so pretty. Ličila.si were kind enough to send something for me and something for my readers (giveaway here), The palette is really pretty and what surprised me is that it doesn't creases crazy like other palettes I have from them. Slovenian ladies, if you're going to shop at Ličila.si use code BLOG-POSTNINA for free postage on orders above 20 €.

What did you get in January? Are you specially interested in any of the products I mentioned today and you want me to review it? Let me know. Thank you for reading!

Essence Always on my Mint (Like an Unforgettable Kiss TE) and Day 1 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Romantic Lace

Hi, ladies! Some time ago I decided to join Valentine's Day challenge that started one week ago, but  I didn't start posting it before because of guest posts that were posted last week on my blog. Today I want to share my first manicure with you, made on theme romantic lace, but before I want to show you a swatch of my new mint nail polish.

If you read my blog for a longer time then you know I adore mint nail polishes. When I saw how gorgeous Always on my Mint from Essence Like an Unforgettable Kiss is I had to get it. It's a cream mint shade that has more green than blue hint in the color. It applies nicely and it's good pigmented. I usually apply two thicker coats, after which is fully opaque, but that also means bubbles. So, three thinner coats would probably be better for someone who doesn't upgrade it (meaning nail art or stamping) or doesn't wear a top coat. It dries quite fast even without a top coat and what surprised me is the longevity. After two days it didn't chip, it wore off a bit only on my index and middle finger on my right hand, which are my weakest nails. I definitely adore this polish. At the moment you can get Like an Unforgettable Kiss at DM stores. You will get 8 ml of gorgeous polish for less than 2 €.

I thought, since I'm already wearing this gorgeous mint shade, why not to upgrade it and do a manicure for first theme of Valentine's Day challenge, which is a romantic lace. Although Valentine's day is all about red and pink color I didn't want to do all manicures in these two colors, so I made first one in my favourite color, which is green. Beside Always on my Mint I used Models Own Copacabana for lace design.

And here are all other themes for which you're going to see manicures this week.

Day 2 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Soft Pink

The second theme of Valentine's Day challenge is soft pink and I have to admit I wasn't really a fan of this theme, because as you know I don't wear pink much on my nails. Luckily I ownEssie Fiji, which is a gorgeous pastel pink shade. But I have to admit I like it better in summer, because it looks much prettier when my skin is more tanned. I applied two coats of Fiji on each nail. For my accent nail I made my own nail polish sticker, for which I used polishes Essie In StitchesMaybelline 145 and Konad plate m78. I really like how it turned out. On other nails I applied Essence Sunshine and Red Roses that contains small round and big heart shaped red glitter. This manicure isn't really me, but it's appropriate for Valentine's day.

Day 3 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Glitter Hearts

I had an amazing idea for glitter hearts theme of Valentine's Day challenge, I really had, but it didn't turn out as I wanted. But that's always like that. It's not a typical manicure for the day of love, because it's blue. I made it blue on purpose, because I didn't want all my manicure in same colors (meaning red and pink). It also doesn't have much to do with glitter hearts, because not every heart of this manicure is glittery. I made a heart leopard print, because I like the idea of it and animal prints were always my favourite. One heart on every second nail I painted with glittery polish.
As a base I used S-he 115. On the half of a nail I made leopard print with Flormar 423, Misslyn Royal Blue and Golden Rose Holiday 55. Then I painted a half of a nail with P2 Crazy Beauty. In the end I added Misslyn nail stickers on the cross point. It wasn't really what I imagine before I began, but the final result was pretty anyway. :)

Let me know what you think of my manicure. Thank you for reading!

Day 4 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Red Passion

I didn't have any idea what to do for red passion theme on Valentine's day challenge, when I received 10 stamping plates that I ordered from Born Pretty Store. The plate BP-51 had a lovely heart design, which seemed perfect for this manicure. On two accent nails I applied S-he 115, a white nail polish, and on others Barry M Blood Orange. This red polish is very well pigmented, so I also used it for stamping. It's a simple manicure, but I like it a lot.

P. S.: Sorry I'm not very talkative today, but I don't feel the best.

Tell me, what do you think about this manicure? Thank you for reading!

Day 5 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Roses

What's a better gift to receive from a love of your life than roses? I had few ideas what to do for theme roses for Valentine's day challenge, and I decided to do something I haven't done in a while - gradient stamping. I used Kardashian Beauty Buff as a base for roses that are from MoYou Pro 04 plate. Polishes I used for stamping are Essence I Love My Blue Jeans, Catrice Plum Play With Me and Models Own Gumballs. On other nails I applied Catrice Plum Play With Me and Born Pretty Store neon pink studs. Does this manicure scream Valentine's Day? Probably not, but I like it a lot.

Day 6 of Valentine's Day Challenge: Love and Kisses

Hello, my lovely readers! I still owe you one manicure for Valentine’s Day challenge and then I’m done. The last theme is “love and kisses” and I did what the theme says. On middle and ring finger I draw a heart (a half of heart on each nail) and wrote love in it. On other nails I stamped lips design from Essence plate (I can’t tell you which, because they all have the same name, but it’s one of older plates that’s not available anymore). Polishes I used for this manicure are Essie Fiji, Essence I Love My Blue Jeans, Essence Wild White Ways, Barry M Blood Orange and Stargazer 232.

And here are all my six manicures I did for this challenge. Although Valentine's Day isn't a holiday I would really love it was nice to join the challenge and do manicures, inspired by love. Thanks to Theodora and Kaki for creating this challenge and inviting me to be a part of it.

What do you think of this manicure? How did you spend your Valentine's Day? Did you wear any interesting manicure? Thank you for reading!

Swatches and Review: Essence Like and Unforgettable Kiss Blushes

$

Every year before Valentine’s Day Essencereleases the trend edition collection inspired by this holiday. This year they released An Unforgettable Kiss TE. I already showed you swatches of a mint nail polish from this collection, but today I want to share with you my opinion about duo blushes Nothing but Lovestoned and Pink Me

I have to say they made a very good job with the packaging. Both blushes are in a shape of a heart and the packaging itself is from cardboard. To me it seems very sturdy and it’s so cute. One duo blush contains 5,1 g of products and you actually get a blush and a highlighter, which you can use each on their own or mixed together. Despite the cute packaging I have to admit that the pigmentation of both blushes didn’t impress me. Most of us are use to much more pigmented products (blushes, highlighters) from Essence limited edition collection, but here they made poor pigmentation.

01 Nothing but Lovestoned is a peachy matte blush with also a light peachy highlighter. It swatch es really poorly. Luckily it is buildable. The other problem with both blushes is the shape. The packaging isn’t really big (I don’t know why I expected it’ll be bigger) and if you’re having a bigger blush brush, like me, it’s quite impossible to swirl it into the blush itself (meaning into the half of the heart), which is the way I like to do to get the blush on my brush. By these ones I have to dab it into the blush and then apply it, but then again the blush ends only on the half of the brush. I often just mix both parts together and then apply it. That’s why it takes a little longer to apply this blush, but I have to say I like how it looks on me when I apply the amount of blush I’m satisfied with.
I also want to point out that I don’t like to use highlighters on their own, because they are matte, but I prefer shimmery highlighter to use on my cheeks, because those give me that special glow I like.

02 Pink Me is a pink matte blush with a beige matte highlighter. The blush contains tiny shimmer that is visible on the swatch, but not really in the packaging or on face. The story with this one is the same as with Nothing but Lovestoned; with the exception that pink blush is better pigmented. Mentioning that, the highlighter here is so badly pigmented that I barely swatched it.
I usually take time and apply bigger amount of a blush on my face, because I like it that way. The longevity depends from the amount of blush I apply it on cheeks – less I apply it, sooner it fades away. Unlike some other powder brushes, for example Catrice or Sleek, they don’t last a whole working day, but they also don’t disappear from cheeks too quickly. I’m surprised that these blushes aren’t better pigmented, because they have such silky and not dusty at all formula.

These blushes can be a hit or a miss; it depends from a way you’re looking on them. The packaging is cute, a lot, but they have poor color payoff. Then again they are buildable, although not as long lasting as some other blushes I own (Catrice, Sleek). I’d say people who are just starting using blushes or those who don’t like too much color on their cheeks are going to be satisfied with them. These are also a nice addition to a collection because of a cute packaging, although it’s not the most practical for people that use bigger blush brushes like me and I also wish that these would be more pigmented. After all I adore peachy and pink shades. They cost around 3,5 €. They are not pricey, but I’d say that if you’re a blush lover and you don’t care much about cute packaging, skip them because poor pigmentation will disappoint you.

Did you try these blushes? What do you think about them? Thank you for reading!

I Love... Shower Gels

I haven’t blogged much this week. I have only three words for you, why: stress at work. Usually my blog is my happy place, my place of relaxing and enjoying, but this week I wasn’t really inspired for writing. So for this weekend I decided to prepare few posts, not just for today, but also for next week. Yesterday when I was taking a shower I was thinking about the theme I should post on my blog today and then I remembered I haven’t write about I Love… Cosmetics shower gels yet.  I Love… shower gels were always so praised in beauty blogosphere that I was super happy when I finally found them in my local drugstore. I immediately bought three scents: Raspberry Vanilla, Choca Mocha Lala and Minty Choco Chip. I think I’ve never read a bad thing about them, but they have their flaws. I do like them but I can’t say I’m over the moon because of them.

The first thing I noticed when I took a shower with these is that their formula is very liquidy. At the beginning I had few problems with them, because when I wanted to put any of three shower gels on my skin, they just slipped through my fingersand ended in my bath. Later I learned how to deal with them and now I don’t have this problem anymore. The solution is that I apply smaller amount of product on my skin. They foam nicely, but I have a feeling that I use them up faster than other, thicker shower gels.

The best feature of these gels is the scent. They have strong scent, and strong scent usually bothers me, except if it’s the one I really like. Raspberry Vanillasmells very fruity, like raspberry (I can’t smell vanilla) and it’s very sweet scent.Choca Mocha Lala smells like milk chocolate and Minty Choco Chip smells like After Eight chocolate, which I adore. I can’t decide which scent is my favourite, because I adore all three of them. But I did notice by Minty Choco Chip that the scent becomes too annoying after a longer period of usage (probably because of its sweetness), so what I usually do is that I change a shower gel every few days. I got so use so the fact that I shower with different shower gel every few days that I have 6 or 7 different gels opened and used till the half of the bottle (before that I always used up one shower gel before I opened another). I didn’t notice that I Love… shower gels would dry my skin, but I also can’t say that they are very moisturizing. They make the skin soft and they leave a gentle scent on it. I was actually surprised that they don’t leave a stronger scent on the skin, since they have such a strong scent in the bottle.

I found these shower gels in Tuš drugstore, where I paid around 3,5 € for 250 ml. I do like them, especially because they have very pleasant scents, but in a matter of nourished skin I’d probably choose Dove or Afrodita shower gels rather than these. If you adore shower gels and you like to try new brands and different scents I’d say go for these, they won’t disappoint you.

Have you tried I Love… Cosmetics shower gels? What do you think about these? Which one is your favourite scent? Thank you for reading!

NOTD: A Lonely Wolf

I was just thinking that themes like "a lonely wolf" I usually do for challenges, but when I received Born Pretty StoreBP16 plate I knew I have to do something with the wolf design. Since there's a howling wolf on the plate, my idea for manicure was to do a night land with a wolf howling at the moon.

I started with two coats of Essence The Boy Next Door. Then I sponged P2 Crazy Blue on the half of the nail. For starts I used Constance Caroll Aqua Sparkle. On all nails I stamped the same land that wolf is standing on from BP 16 plate, just without a wolf. For that I used Essence Black is Back. On my middle finger I used Essence Wild White Ways and Stargazer 232 for a moon and on ring finger I stamped the wolf. I personally really like how this manicure looks, although is far from perfect stamping.
BP 16 has so many gorgeous designs, I already have few more ideas what to do with it. This plate has big designs, the bigger ones are 15 x 20 mm, which means that they will cover even wider/longer nails. It costs $2,54 (2,25 €) at Born Pretty Store. You can use my code DFL91 for 10 % discount.

New In (Februar)

I actually planned for February to be a no-buy month. As you can see I wasn't very successful. At least now I have something to share with you on my blog now. :)

Let's start with Essence. At the beginning of the month our Müller got new Essence products. I have to say not many products draw my attention. On promo photos I always like more products than then in person in the store. I bought three polishes: Be Berry Now, I Don't Need Money, Honey and Lady Mermaid. I also got Ultra Strong nail hardener, which is my favourite. I wanted to get nail cuticle softener pen, but I forgot that they changed the packaging, so I actually got nail cuticle remover pen. I bought eyeliner brush to use it to do a fine line on my nails when painting them, but it doesn't go well with my remover. It felt apart after first usage (meh).
The most interesting products I got from Essence are new longlasting lipliners. I'm going to review them separately, but for now I can tell you that I like them a lot. They are creamy, don't dry lips, easy to apply and they do last for quite some time. I got shades A Girl's Dream, Yummy Berry, Plum Cake and Lovely Frappucino
Mateja was raving about Essence Big Bright Eyes highlighting pen in Highlight it ... Nude for so long that I finally got it. I completely understand why she loves it so much. It's amazing. And it's definitely much better than Catrice highlighting pen. Catrice has released new eyeshadow base Prime and Fine and although I recently got NYX HD eyeshadow base I had to try this one too. There will be a comparison post on my blog after I test these bases a bit better.

When you run out of your favourite products you buy back up bottles. I'm talking about my favourite tonic Afrodita Clean Phase Ultra Moisturizing tonic and my favourite nail polish remover Aveo Mandel

Born Pretty Store send me few products for reviews. I received two plates BP-16 (you can see my manicure with it here) and Q-girl 036. I also decided to test metal stickers with a dragon design. I already made a manicure with golden ones and I can't wait to show it to you, because I really love it and I'm proud on it. :)

Back in January I ordered 10 Born Pretty Store plates. I do love their plates, because they have good quality and very interesting designs. I'm still not sure if I'm going to present them all together in one post or I'm going to do a series of posts, presenting one palette in one post with a manicure or two. Tell me, what do you think.

Last week I received a package from Click2Chic with a Nanshy Marvel 4in1 makeup sponge and Models Own polishes Chrome Cerise and Chrome Silver. I tried all products already and I'm loving them all. I'm especially loving Cerise nail polish, which surprised me, because I'm not the biggest fan of pink nail polishes. Well, it's very lovely shade with a chrome finish which I surprisingly love a lot. Both Models Own polishes are also great for stamping.

Farmona send me few bits last week as well. I decided to give away samples, because I already tried them, but I kept both hand creams since they are always handy. I'm not the most impressed by regenerating cream, but I do like coconut hand and nail cream.

Since February the beauty box Dash Box is full size. I couldn't resist, I had to order it. I decided not to write a full review about this box anymore, but I will review Johnny Organic (Orgazmus is an old name, they renamed recently) Antioxidant Cacao Scrub and W7 Candy Blush Explosion. In the box there were also Farmona Chocolate body wash gel, which doesn't smell the nicest to me, a Greenland Fruit Emotions shower gel tester and W7 Superfine black eye pencil

What did you get in February? Thank you for reading!

NOTD: Catrice (S)wimbledon

On this not very spring alike day (it's raining cats and dogs outside) I wanted to show you a spring nail polish – Catrice (S)wimbledon. I can’t say that this is the most unique nail polish in my stash, but I definitely can say it’s one of the most gorgeous shades of green.

(S)wimbledonis a gorgeous bright turquoise shade with tiny silver shimmer. Luckily the shimmer isn’t that visible on nails. It has a thicker formula, but I wouldn’t say it’s one coater, because it doesn’t apply the most even after one coat. I’d definitely recommend applying two coats if you want to get away with a nice and even application. Its thicker formula is also a reason for more careful application.

This is a new polish in Catrice assortment, which means it has a new brush. They kept wide flat brush; they just made it more straight on the top. I have to say I do like the new brush, it didn’t cause me any problems by application (if I had any problems I blame the shimmer, which makes the formula not the easiest to work with).

This is a perfect spring shade, although its formula isn’t the easiest to work with. Catrice polishes contain 10 ml and cost 2,79 €. There are few more new shades that I like, but I’m not sure if I’ll get any, because I think I already have similar shades in my stash (hash tag #nailpolishaddictsproblems).

Have you tried new Catrice shades? What do you think about new brush? Thank you for reading!

Review and Swatches: Catrice Absolute Matt Eyes Wide Matt Palette

If you read my blog for a longer time then you know natural makeup isn’t really my thing. I don’t say that I don’t wear it, because I do, but colourful makeup is the one that is more challenging for me. Why this intro? Because today I want to show you a palette that wasn’t a love at first sight, but my love for it grew slowly and now I adore it. I’m talking about Catrice Absolute Matt Eyes Wide Matt palette. In our drugstores is quite hard to find matte eyeshadows, what even a good matte eyeshadows. Catrice is doing pretty good job in this matter because beside this neutral palette they are also offering single matte eyeshadows that have amazing pigmentation.

Catrice Absolute Matt palette comes in a plastic packaging with a transparent lid which enables you to see all eyeshadows in the palette. It weights 6 g and it’s pretty small, so it’s appropriate for travelling. Although I have to say the packaging works a bit cheap to me.

The palette contains six eyeshadows (white, beige- some say this one is pink toned, but I have to admit I don't see any pink in it, strange, taupe, warm brown, dark brown and dark grey). They have very silky and smooth texture and their color payoff is amazing. You literally can apply one coat of eyeshadow over the lid and don’t need to build it up (unless if you want to. But then again that depends from the look you want to achieve). They are dusty, but I didn’t have any problems with fall out.

These swatch so nicely and they fell so creamy. Application is a blast and they blend very well. These are great for everyday neutral look or even smokey look, if you use darker shades all over the lid. Two lightest ones are good for highlighting or to use all over the lid. I personally like to use second or third eyeshadow all over the lid, fourth in crease, fifth in outer V and first for highlighting. What I like about this palette is that these eyeshadows are truly matte, without any tiny shimmer that would later be visible on eyes. On my lids these eyeshadow didn’t crease, but they did fade away after few hours.

The look I made with Catrice Absolute Matt palette. I also made a tutorial for it, so you can read more here

Overall, I think this is a great neutral drugstore palette with matte eyeshadows and I’d recommend it to everyone for everyday usage. Its price is also low, it costs around 5 €, and for this price you’ll get six nicely pigmented eyeshadows. You know I’m a person who prefers shimmery and colourful eyeshadow, and I say Catrice Absolute Matt palette is a winner.

Review and Swatches: W7 Cosmetics Candy Blush Explosion

You know I adore blushes. I'm trying not to buy them too much anymore, because I haven't hit the pan on any or even finish any of them yet. The latest addition to my blush collection is W7 Cosmetics Candy blush Explosion that I got in February Dash Box. I was very happy with the shade I got, because it's very wearable shade and it suits my fair skin tone well.

If I start with the packaging, the blush comes in a round plastic packaging, which looks very fancy and it reminds me on Bourjois blushes. The packaging is in the shade of the blush and it contains a mirror, which makes it perfect to carry around in your purse (but it’s true that you’ll need a brush as well, because it’s a powder blush and it doesn’t have added brush).

Explosion is a powder peachy-coral blush with an amazing color payoff and very silky formula. It applies smoothly on cheeks and blends really nicely. Coral and peachy shades are lately my favourite to wear, so I adore this shade and the fact that is matte is also a plus. If I want to achieve more pigmented look I swirl the brush into the blush (as I said it’s very pigmented), but if I want more soft, natural look I gently dip the brush into the blush and then I can never apply it too much. On me it lasts around 6-7 hours.

The packaging contains 6 g. I received this blush in a Dash Box, which says that the price of this blush is 7 € (the price on W7 Cosmetics official site is £4.95). I checked Dash Box site, but they don’t sell these blushes in their store. The store that does sell W7 Cosmetics and Candy Blush range as well is Slovenian online store Glossy.si. There you can get these blushes for 5,20 €. Some W7 Cosmetics products are also available in Beauty for Me online store.

Overall, I find this blush very nice. It’s pigmented, the shade is lovely – it would suit any skin tone, it doesn’t dust, so you don’t waste any product and the packaging is very fancy.

NOTD: The Golden Dragon

I don't know about you, but I like dragons. When I sawdragon metal decals on Born Pretty Store site I immediately got the idea for a manicure. And I admit I'm very pleased with the final result. I started with two coats of Essence Always on My Mint nail polish. On pinkie and index finger I made stripes with P2 Precious, Essence Wild White Ways and Born Pretty Store golden stamping polish.I didn't want to repeat the design on my ring finger and thumb, so I did something different. That happens when you get many new nail polishes and you want to wear them all at once. For semi-circle I used Catrice (S)wimbledon and BPS golden stamping polish, which was also used for dots. The star of this manicure is a cute golden metal dragon on my middle finger. The application was very easy - it's a water decal, so I held it in a water for few seconds and then placed it on my finger. In the end I sealed everything with top coat.

These water decals have number 44, and they come in a golden and silver color. There is also another dragon design in same two colors. If you're going to shop at Born Pretty Store, don't forget to use my code "DFL91" for 10 % discount (shipping is free).

Review and Swatches: Essence Cinderella TE (+ Giveaway)

Cinderellais a new Essence trend (limited) edition in our stores. Its release matches with the release of the movie Cinderella, which I can't wait to see. I adore fairy tales, what can I say. If at promo photos this collection wasn’t that interesting to me, I changed my mind in the store. I got three nail polishes, both nail stickers and a highlighter.

If I start with nail stickers, which I got to use on my lazy nail art days, these are very easy to use. You just remove them from the plastic and place them on your nails (nail polish must be completely dry). There are two different nail sticker designs – It’s More Than I Ever Hoped For that shows Cinderella and things connected with her when she went on a ball and The Stroke of Midnight that shows Cinderella as a servant and creatures connected with her. Each set costs 1,39 €.

In the collection there are four nail polish shades (purple metallic, golden metallic, pink shimmery, lilac shimmery) and a glittery top coat. Nail polishes contain 8 g and top coat 10 g. All polishes have nice flat brush with long bristles that usually enables an easy and even application. Nail polishes and a top coat cost 1,49 €

Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo is a pastel lilac nail polish with tiny shimmer. This polish dries satin, which surprised me a bit. I don’t know why I expected it to be glossy. But that can be quickly arranged with one coat of top coat. Its formula is okay and it needs two coats to be opaque. This is very lovely polish for spring and I already see it as a base for nail art. I have to say I prefer it in a glossy version.

Prince Charming is a purple metallic nail polish. It’s opaque in two coats and application can be tricky because of visible brush strokes. The reason I took this polish isn’t in the fact that I like the shade (which I do), but because metallic polishes are usually great for stamping and this one isn’t any exception. I often notice that top coat can soften brush strokes and make the surface looking more smooth and nice.

The Glass Slipper is a top coat with tiny purple shimmer and big and small hexagonal silver glitter. It applies nicely and evenly on nails. This top coat looks nice over any polish, but it looks the best over black base, which shows it in all its beauty. One coat over any base is enough to cover up a whole nail with glitter.

Highlighter wears the same name as top coat – The Glass Slipper. Its color payoff is amazing. It applies evenly, blends nicely and last for a whole day. The formula is creamy and not too dusty. The shine that it gives to a face is so pretty. Not to mention the design of the highlighter itself. Essence always does a good job in this matter. The packaging itself isn’t anything special, it’s a plastic transparent packaging, but the highlighter is gorgeous and for 3,59 € you get 9 g of products, which is a bargain.

Now one of you have the chance to win a polish Sing, Sweet Nightingale, a top coat The Glass Slipper and nail stickers It's More Than I Ever Hoped For from Cinderella collection. All you have to do is to fill Rafflecopter form. It's open to anyone and it ends on 29. 3. 2015. Good luck to everyone!

Changes (Few Words About My Hair)

There comes a point in your life when it’s time for changes. It can be a small change or a drastic one. I have to admit I’m the person who hates changes, who has to think everything through before changing/doing/trying something. But I think it’s time that I step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Last week many mayor changes happen in my life and because of that I decided to try something I’ve been thinking about for a longer period now. I thought that it was finally time to cut my very very long hair.  As a young girl I could never grow long hair because they were damaged all the time. When I started to blog I learned how to take a proper care for them and they grow so much. But ends became quite destroyed after some time and they needed a cut. Telling the truth my hair started to get on my nerves this winter, I didn’t know anymore what to do with them, and I was constantly having them in a pony tail or a bun, so I decided to cut them. Not just the ends, but more than a half of my hair. Some would/have say/said that this is a drastic change, but I have to admit I love it and I’m so happy I took this decision. My hair looks healthier now, my head feels lighter and I feel happier with my new haircut.

Sorry for bad quality of these two photos. My hairdresser took them with my phone and they weren't really sharp. :(

One of positive sites is also that shorter hair is easier to take care off. It’s easier to wash, it dries faster and it also doesn’t get in my way when I’m doing something. I hesitated to cut my hair because I was afraid I’m going to miss having long hair, but telling the truth I don’t miss it at all. I’m a happy hippo now. And everybody (except my boyfriend) says that shorter hair looks better on me.

Back in December I bought Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Million Gloss set that held a shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. At the moment I’m using a combination of these three products and I have to say I like them all. Shampoo cleans my hair well and it doesn’t dry it out, the conditioner gives it a shine and makes it are soft and silky after usage and the oil nourishes it nicely. I know this isn’t a proper review, but I wanted to mention quickly, how I like these products.

How do you feel about changes? Also, tell me how do you like my new haircut. Thank you for reading!
